I love this…..the cute wool cape and the joggers with the heels. Who would dare to combine the two, only the Italians could get away with this. Once again, just love it!
i like the pumps and the coat, but above all the colour of the bag (cloud). but what about her pants?! i know that they are trendy, but really…one should wear pants like those at least at home…
wheeee first comment :) love the cut of her pants and the different textures of the cape and the rest of the outfit + the fringe accentuates the dimple in her chin…very cute
Beautiful girl. Love her hair. But as I scrolled down I was not so crazy about the pants paired with those heels. All out of proportion and accentuating v. skinny legs.
I just have to agree with all previous speakers, love evrything about this… from her head to her toes… and the pants looks so comfortable yet chic… and the heels… and cape… I could just go on and on…
First off.. I'm a long time lurker…. finally decided to post a comment. LOVE your site. So inspirational!
From my male perspective, I'm totally digging this look. She looks feminine, stylish yet purposeful….. and I don't spot a ring on her finger!! hahaha!!
Beautifully soft colour palette – I like all the muted greys and browns.. Her haircut is quite sixties, and I love that grey cape! Looks like the kind of thing I could do with in snowy Britain at the moment.
I just love this! Although I am not usually a fan of the whole wearing soft kind of sportswear pants in public, she makes it look really sweet! And also I love her hair, looks just like my mom's in pics from the 60's!
This girl is really chic…the cape:_ the most trendy clothe of this season and so chic here. The match with the grey bag and the fall colors….amazing!!! One of your best pics of the last months…
The style is nice but I just don't think that shorter women should wear high heels. It throws off the proportions. The effect is "little girl playing dress-up."
I love this quirky & weird look. most of the fashion on the street lacks this will to make a statement, to look a bit "un-beautiful" and take risks – I think this is a perfect example of how momentousl a bit of visionary risk-taking can be.
Here's another YES to the pants and pumps. A fabulous combination and look that lightens up a conventional though chic top half. Its like she said OK if I'm going to wear those killer uncomfortable pumps at least I can have warm ankles and loose pants.
beautiful girl, love the shot, and the outfit from waist up looks great. i am not diggin the ankle treatment on those skinny sweat pants. they look just like the wrist band on my university sweatshirt. it crops her legs short and yields a wrinkly ankle look.
She's rocking the retro chic from the waist up; below that, however… yikes. The pants are unflattering in and of themselves–the thick ankle cuffs and clunky draping create a line that's very "off"–and in that forced combination with the heels they are, at least in my eyes, truly awful.
Moral of the story: some retro looks (mom jeans, acid wash, sweat pants) transcend the power of ironic recuperation and should be allowed to rest in peace!
Beautiful photo! The colors of her clothes, her bag, her hair, the background, and the lighting all compliment each other perfectly. I know that I could never pull off pants like that, but she makes it work.
Oh waw…this is striking. When you think that everything has been done, there comes along someone with an original, different view. Truly love this picture. Thank you.
Waist up, she could be a Beatles girlfriend. I wish the camel pants were wool and not sweatpants though–the thinness of the material just looks cheap next to the cape and bag.
Scott, your blog has made me grow my hair and cut blunt bangs! ha! And I didn't notice her great outfit at all until I really looked…all I see is bangs! Glorious bangs!
This outfit seems to age her and so does her sunken posture. The colours, textures and hair are beautiful, but it makes me think that she is stifled in her youth …. heavily burdened by the success of milan fashion? is that possible?
I agree, just when you think you've seen it all, along comes an original. I love this outfit, makes me rethink sweat pants, maybe with a cashmere sweater. And heels.
Nice outfit for a stylish 40 year old may be, but its far too sombre and mature for a young person. Plus those shoes! she'll be crippled before she's 20..
I think the shoes and the bag make this outfit stand out. And – I can't believe I'm actually saying that – I like the knit pants! Their color is perfect!
I believe the pants are the cahsmere knit pants from Isabel Marant from a few seasons back. I have a similar pair. Comfortable and chic – they can give an edge to a more glamour look when paired with a lighter top.
Why is this girl here? I really don't understand what is stylish about her. I don't like any of the items she is wearing, either individually or as an ensemble, and her fringe (sorry, bangs) is too long. She has a pretty face – voila, something positive to say!- but there is absolutely nothing else about her that even whispers "style".
Beautiful color palette. And, I agree with The Clever Pup on the bare feet. Nude hosiery, complementing the color palette and covering the veins of the feet would have completed the look. Nonetheless, well put together.
one of my favourite looks on this blog. I love the carrot style trousers with those court shoes and that bag is amazng. everything just seems to go so well together
Loving it from the purse up, but I had those bangs in first grade – oh so heavy! And the pants – looks like she forgot to dress the bottom half. there was an old lady at the nursing home that had the exact pair on… strange.
Help!!! neither of you have seen that this girl is too much thin??? If all of you think that this girl is so chic and trendy, we have a very big problem because the only I have seen that this gir seems to be ill
absolutely fantastic. this lady delivered quite a piece, here. she took a daring chance and it served her well! amazing, amazing! she is knows her stuff.
I have this cape–a Prada from the 2010 winter collection. I would have to disagree with her choice of shoes, they are too dark and heavy for the outfit.

The palette is lovely but apart from the hair the look seems too old for such a young woman, even the (?cashmere) pants.
