I love this “thrown together” look. Each print is more interesting because of the other. The dirty hair says, “I’d rather be out in the vibrant world than at home primping.” And the entwined arms make me think of Meryl Streep in French Lieutenant’s Woman.

I haven’t seen such a combination of prints in a while- it works surprisingly well, I think. I like the skirt better than the shirt, though.

I’m always hesitant to mix prints but when they are about the same size like this it can really work! I especially love the skirt. Both would make great pieces too when paired with a solid.

What a pretty feminine skirt! And great pattern mixing. i love when people leave their hair alone, just wash it, and then let it dry. Its so much more classy then primped hair. She looks sophisticated and natural. Two good things. And how great is the way she holds the phone?!

Sart, I love it that you post pictures of subjects that look extremely interesting, not just those who are pretty.
I noticed that all the comments here have been favorable.
I beg to respectfully differ – This lady takes the “clash 1 clash all” school of style too far. The tortured contortion and the slight smirk on the face makes this picture one of the least cheery to date. And a bit scary.

Actually you can find some very lovely things in thrift stores, so saying that something comes from Goodwill as a put down really says little about the outfit, but volumes about the comment maker. The skirt and blouse are beautiful wether they came from Goodwill, or from the finest boutique.

Just love all of it! Don’t think her hair is dirty … just sleek long hair without brushing … as natural and confortable as the outfit. A bit “négligé” yet very “soigné”. One regret? I would have looooved to see her shoes … Can we get more pictures of her???

Very awkward post. I do like mixed prints, but this outfit looks like she picked up 2 items off the floor in a dark room and put them on.

Who made up that rule of not mixing prints, patterns and colors? Break the rule if you’re so inclined. What’s the worse that could happen?
Btw, I think what she’s wearing is fine…nothing earth shattering, nothing from the mind of a genius. Nothing controversial, illegal or immoral…it’s just fine.
