See, here’s my thoughts about scarves. Clothing can be very architectural, structured, and linear, especially men’s wear. A scarf is like a fluid element, a flourish, a signature, a doodle, which can do great things for an outfit. In this case, it IS the outfit.
Sart! What a wonderful look. She’s a total peach ! Her charming facial expression is so winning. The balance of such a sweet dress matched with the edgy leather jacket and dramatic scarf, works so well.
Imagine her without the scarf: sure she might be more ordinary, but she’d look less wrapped up, if you know what I mean. The dress and jacket on their own are great and the scarf just detracts from that, it’s too overwhelming, it sort of engulfs her. That’s my 2c worth.
the dress isn’t totally spot on for me, but she looks just lovely anyway
the scarf just makes it, for some reason the way it is wrapped around her (beautiful) hair just works and I love love those shrunken black leather jackets that all the french girls are wearing right now
Oh my god I was going to buy that dress on Saturday!! Its H & M but I worried that it would look too juvenile. I may go back and get it. It reminds me of the little orphan annie look Marc Jacobs did for spring 07

The dress looks a bit frumpy, but I see where she’s going with it.

Pretty girl – I love her hair.
I like the color of the scarf, but the dress is too messy for me.

Take away the scarf? That’s like telling a French woman not to breathe.

How do French women always look inimitably stylish? Whether in Paris, or in the Provinces. The girl in the photo oozes style.
