Great outfit! Especially the scarf, it's so nice! I love how it works by blending in all the colours of his outfit, but pops at the same time with vibrant splashes of orange. The composition of the picture is great too, however the bag and the jacket I could do without, it's just cluttering the frame.
also, again as i mentioned in a previous post- i think it's great to see older people on your blog- i've looked at your archives, and i've noticed that they've appeared here and there many times… it just seems that lately there have been multiple posts highlighting people of a higher age… i think it's great- i think a lot of times pop culture disregards them and we really should look at them for wisdom and style with admiration… not that this guy looks so old btw, he looks late 50's with a 20 year old soul.
Handsome man. Incredible presence. Stunning clothes. (What the hell is wrong with American culture that our men have so little interest in enjoying clothes and dressing beautifully?!!) With some reluctance I must quibble slightly with his socks. Maybe not so dark… Maybe a little color?
This older man is flat out fantastic. Wow, I would accept an offer of a date from him in about two seconds flat. His entire ensemble is just incredible. The scarf, the satchel, the chuckka boots, the winter white pants and the finishing touch…… The perfect navy blazer. Oh……… Do you have his phone number Scott? Love portrait photo.
In response to a previous anonymous comment: There is NOTHING effeminate about this. Plenty of balls, I'd say! Real men don't give a damn if a scarf comes from the Zara women's collection. Pattern and color are what it's all about. As for another comment about bag looking "cheap": It's a great pattern that makes this whole shot zing!
Thanks for showing some exquisite elegant sophistication a la Joan, Lee and this gentleman. It is a welcome change than the impossibly beautiful fashionistas make wearing a potato sack look good and edgy.
He overshot with the bag and quilted jacket(?). They both look too new and then next to the little-worn shoes and the white pants I find myself thinking not about his style but about him thinking about his style.
How about the man himself come on here and tells us a bit about himself ? It is a great picture & there have been so many positive comments lets here what this man does for a living and where he shops ? Where is the scarf from ?
I live near Florence and I absolutely adore going into town and watching the men! I love the way they put their clothing together…that classic sense of being well groomed. It isn't a studied eccentricity. It's just an inborn sense of style based on classic pieces and perhaps a dash of something different..like this guy in his white trousers. Grey trousers would be just fine but the white makes the outfit interesting. And then there are the Roman men..but that's another beautiful story!
