I love this look, so 70s – I need to find one of these myself to replace my scarfs..

I think we are. In menswear at least. In womenswear to a lesser extent, although I have noticed some great textured turtlenecks with slightly lower collars than the one pictures, which I really quite like, in the streets of London.

Great outfit, but too much hair, and sans layers, we’re getting the triangle thing.

If he had a mop of curls, shorter on the side, and a groomed stubble …. oh myyyyyy.

That was me back in the ’70s when I still had hair! I love this look not so much because it’s retro but it’s a great look and this guy pulls it off well. I’ll always be a long hair, beard fan. I don’t wear turtlenecks anymore but love this one! Peace!

Definitely a trend I’ve been wondering about. My friend and I discussed this a while ago and decided that perhaps faux turtlenecks (i.e. shorter turtlenecks) are the more subtle way to incorporate this look into a modern man’s outfit.

I have to say that I’ve never seen a mock-turtleneck look really good on anyone. I think the turtleneck is one of those looks that you have to either fully commit to or skip completely… to my eye, at least, there’s no feasible in-between.

Love the shawl collar. He’s so striking, I didn’t notice it the first time around. I had one in the 70′s. Wore it quite a bit, but was never sure how I really felt about it. They aren’t very common.

The jacket and turtleneck change the look from the relaxed hair choices.

Long hair, red beard, white turtleneck – a heart-refreshing revival of the seventies.. The only thing I am missing is a tucked-in buttoned-up shirt over the turtleneck.
