this works so well. love that she paired the rich brown with black (or is it charcoal? either way, it works) and her glorious hair…and her equally glorious smile.
Beautiful and natural. Love the festive purse/giftbag/not sure what it is. I’m looking for a little black jersey mini dress like that…Looks great on her.
Well, how to turn several trends worn at once into a classic? Accessorize with gorgeous hair and a broad smile. And while I do love every single thing about her look (the coat is nothing short of amazing), as a whole, she’s just stupendously beautiful.
Wow – she looks fantastic! A great shot – the background apartment facades perfectly set her off. Beautiful smile and love the brightness of her bag and travelling coffee! The boots are divine. I love this!!
Remember when Scott took all those photographs in Paris of gorgeous legs? Many people commented that the best accessories were great legs. I think that radiating health, happiness and confidence work pretty well, also. Oh, yes, there is nothing wrong with lustrous hair!
She’s a knock-out; I’m trying hard not to hate her. ;) Fab smile.
And a great shot, Sart: black dress, coat, tights, railings with red/brown bricks, hair and boots. Love it. And definitely wish I had legs like that. >sigh<
I love how she matches her backdrop and even the tiny flower in the corner – red on top, dark on bottom. Very visually satisfying. And modern life has been compressed into a small area (coffee, cell, shopping).
Scott, do you have a close up of the boot? It looks like my boot and if it is, that would amazing. If it isn’t, it’s still a great looking boot and I like the cognac color boot with an all black ensemble.
well she’s just off the charts, isn’t she? its’s so interesting to me that over and over in these photos i find that people pull their hair color into the equation by matching it to something they are wearing, which is one reason why the boots (besides being extremely cool, anyway) look so fantastic here. i think that once it gets to be too cold to wear my trench/turtleneck/short pants/ballet flats uniform (tomorrow, possibly, if the forecasters are correct) i’m going to adopt something along these lines — maybe some flat riding boots for major errands days — and play around with it. this look will take you anywhere in the city that you need to be.
i have a vintage goldworm knit dress that is very much like this one, but with a small keyhole cut-out neckline. goldworm mainly did prints — often soft matisse and impressionist or bold egyptian/indian/asian-influenced prints, very cool — but you can sometimes find a solid black one. definitely try ebay.
rafe– if these are in fact your boots, well done and for god’s sake please hold a pair for me in size 8.5. can i get a sartorialist discount? (sorry, but no self-respecting new yorker would let it go without at least giving it a shot).
Positively the Same…: I was in Buenos Aires ealier this year and had cigar brown riding boots custom-made. Apart from being gorgeous/hot, they are super comfy and were super cheap: $250. The guy makes the boots for equestrian types all over the world. You can choose your own piece of leather, and they are also leather-lined. http://www.casadelasbotas.com.ar
Please please find out where the boots are from! My perfect brown boots were recently destroyed and I must replace them. Hers are perfect in that beautiful thick leather.
After closer inspection I believe I have met this woman in San Francisco at the Diane Von Furstenberg event at Saks this past Oct. She is an assistant of DVF’s I believe and radiates warmth and kindness. She wore an adorable LBD with waterfall back and empire waist. I have a photo and will try to find it and post a link…
OK….. My boots are Chloe (this fall season bought at Intermix). The last blogger did identify my place of employment but I am a VP (long gone are my assistant days). A co-worker brought this to my attention and reading these comments absolutely made my day. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
wow. absolutely amazing, she looks great! love the black/brown combination and her confidence really makes this picture perfect. wonder where those boots are from?!
I know this woman very well, and her smile does say everything about her beauty. She is gorgeous inside and out. She really does always look this effortlessly chic. And she’s pretty much the sexiest mom I know. Well done A!
My gosh, she looks really fresh and sexy! I can’t really comment anything creative about her clothes that somebody here heven’t already said but I’ve got to say her looks surely appeal to me!
