Like everyone has said, the light is beautiful. But more than that, the neutral tones in her outfit seem to be melting into the wan fall light. Her outfit as a whole is soft, relaxed, and warm, yet the shorts indicate that last bit of summer nostalgia. Great fall shot!

Yes, excellent light.
The “look”, however, is a little “so last year”, no? And the apple-eater is all bundled up, so the well-lit goddess must be freezing to death.
I believe that real style is dressing for the weather and the occasion.

I love the delicate dreamy expression on her face and the light is almost ethereal. Beautiful photograph! and for those wondering about NYC weather, it’s been unseasonably warm and lovely, I was out in a short sleeve t-shirt and flip flops yesterday afternoon :)

Hmmm. My first response is that the look is a bit overdone and performative…. but I can’t help liking the fact that she’s stopped dead in the middle of the sidewalk, looking up at the trees or clouds. I’ll bet that she’s just young, having fun exploring looks and enjoying what the world has to offer. And I can’t fault her for that.

Studied insouciance? Those pins must be shivering? She would look better without dead things/roadkill/rags on her body? Just how mean can folks get? She’s a young girl, for crying out loud. Don’t hate her just because she is young AND knows how to stop and smell the roses. And you can’t.
