she is a beautiful girl and i love the colors and proportions of everything. however, the sandal and sock combination… not so sure about. i think maybe if the socks and the sandals were of a darker hue, it would complement the rest of her look.
i also love that she is petite and not absurdly thin and model-like. i have similar proportions and its nice to see what would/would not work. sart, please feature more petite/curvy fashionistas!
Sigh. I know socks and sandals are cool according to some designers but they really don’t do it for me… oh well, at least they’re not knee highs. However, it’s good to see a petite girl who doesn’t feel like she has to wear ankle-breaking heels to create a cute outfit. And the hair, it goes without saying, is fab.
It’s funny, yesterday you posted this androgyn chic and my verdict was like it is just provincial.
Here we have the opposite: you can put this young woman in every setting and time and it simply looks adorable and effortless. She could also be on horseback and still look like the woman of fashion. The colours are well-matched – this is no monotony, which one could think at a first appearance, it’s more gentle’n playful. However, Im not sure what to think of the shoes and socks, but I guess, this is really a lovely solution – it’s prankish, kind of pally, but still worn by the one, you’re secretly in love with.
I like how the young residents of Sydney seem to have their quirk on. Good–though not outrageous–expressions of individuality, as in this girl’s sock/shoe combo with what looks like a school uniform.
She is a gorgeous girl and I LOVE her hairstyle but she truly looks like has rolled off the North Shore train line on her way to one of the myriad of wanky private schools littering Sydney. Wanna be Gossip Girl.
She’s gorgeous, LOVE the hair!! I want those beachy/seaside waves on my hair too! I think the shoes and socks are a cheeky and playful statement, and those legs! But… is it just me? or the colour on the legs doesn’t match the one on the collar or face…?
she’s so cute! i certainly didn’t have that sense of style when i was her age, if i’m guessing her age correctly :)
her socks with sandals combo is risky, but she looks so comfortable that i’d say it works for her. it almost looks like an ankle bootie the way she styled it.
Somebody used the term “fashionista” to describe her. So absurdly out of place from my perspective (but maybe it’s because I just hate that overused term).
The socks with the sandals are really bad. Reminds me of my late grandmother who wore nylons with her house shoes, rolled down just like this, and a house dress. ICK.
She is gorgeous and has incredible hair and her outfit is adorable, but I’m slightly horrified by the weird beige sandal and rolled sock combo. Is that something they do in Sydney? I know my 90 year old grandpa used to…
supercute, and really great to see someone lookin this adorable who isnt supertall/long limbs/modelesque but still mindblowing in her own way: more petit women here, s´il vous plait.
I love the sock/shoe combo!! I doubt it will ever “catch on” in the U.S., but I wish it would. I could totally rock that look, as I am a “sockaholic”! Enough already with the “Grandpa” comments!!!

It’s funny to hear all people’s comments about sydney private school fashion.. Nadia is a brisbane public school girl.. absolutely stunning and so lovely. you should make the trip up to brisbane sart, we have our fair share of stylish individuals.
Why is she wearing socks with open-toe shoes anyway?? She looks like a secretary who’d wear whatever shoes she have with socks because she’s been working in a air-conditioned environment for too long time and now just taking a walk and breathing fresh air during lunch. LOL
I am a bit fond of an open toe shoe with chic socks or hosiery… but this!? Those socks look like a pair that were once white (about 12 years ago), but have since been washed with the colours. They need a good soak in a bucket of bleach and boiling water. And the shoes – they look like medicated orthopedics that you buy from the pharmacy! Credit where it’s due though : she does look sweet.
I was lucky enough to have been with Nadia that day and she received a fair share of compliments on my behalf! For what it’s worth, I really loved the socks and sandals combo, it was a nice change of pace from the fierce black platforms and boots that are so prevalent at Australian fashion events. Divine!
this girl is definite wife material. Her outfit is truly superb; APC resonates through, fantastic. All those haters who are cussing heel/sandal combo where have you been for two seasons?!
looks like paddo to me, balmainers dont wear sandals and socks, which to me remind of some very daggy middle aged chinese women i encountered in rural chinese towns…but she is original! I would have preferred some white converse or something similar…maybe a espadrille a al 40s?

as a whole the entire look work. she’s adorable and can pull it off. alone however, the socks and sandals would likely not work. flats would have been too predictable. cute, but predictable. the socks and sandal add to her quirky adorable look.
Really like your coverage of Australia & Scandinavia. Thanks for going beyond your usual fashion cities. Haven't been on your website in a very long time bc the Paris, London, NY looks were while very chic, but also starting to become predictable.
she’s so cute! i certainly didn’t have that sense of style when i was her age, if i’m guessing her age correctly :)

as a whole the entire look work. she’s adorable and can pull it off. alone however, the socks and sandals would likely not work. flats would have been too predictable. cute, but predictable. the socks and sandal add to her quirky adorable look.

I love this combination of jacket and shirt and even the socks and sandals work!

Really like your coverage of Australia & Scandinavia. Thanks for going beyond your usual fashion cities. Haven't been on your website in a very long time bc the Paris, London, NY looks were while very chic, but also starting to become predictable.

she’s so cute! i certainly didn’t have that sense of style when i was her age, if i’m guessing her age correctly :)
her socks with sandals combo is risky, but she looks so comfortable that i’d say it works for her. it almost looks like an ankle bootie the way she styled

I love how care-free yet very well orchestrated the outfit feels. I also love seeing personal style on women with similar petite body types like mine.

she is cute all over but the sandals with socks thing HAS TO GO!

Seems like a breezy girl.
She needs go on ahead with them gray socks though. If you’re gonna wear open toe footwear, you leave the toes…open!

Socks and sandals. Ew. Just no.
Otherwise she looks like the average schoolgirl.

Nadia, looking good! in answer to a previous question, the reason why you never see people dressed like this in sydney, is because she is from brisbane… sartorialist come to brisbane!

Im really not fund of the scandals and socks. But The overal clothing of the outfit is something i would wear on a day out, very formal and laid back.

i think its just her natural beauty and a sweet spine-bending which brought her here. she could wear everything i guess.
