love love LOVE this. length of pant, grey shoe with blak. white shirt to break it up. glasses and BROWN bag. love it. hair and bag same color make it all perfecto. maybe i’ll dye my hair red today to match my new bag…..
yet another spin on the feminine/masculine look i love. the puffed hem on her pants and elongated/truncated proportions of her suit jacket are brilliant!
I am seeing more and more black and dark colors emerging as a spring/summer look. Also, the forecast for fall winter is brighter colors like gold and auburn. Flip flop the palette…I like.
Very stylish. Great personality to carry this off; the white cuffs, green pumps and a brown bag. I guess the fact she is tall and slim, makes the whole scene look soothing to eyes.
I am so psyched to see the brown bag/ black rest of outfit combo in this photo and Consuelita below. I predict this again in the Fall and a bit more tweed and rough boots a la Burberry. This will be the 80′s redux, not the neon/Flock of Seagulls looks that have gotten some minor attention from those seeking attention!
I love that they’re using your shots in NY Times!! And I particularly love the article this week about men’s-style dressing for women, being the occasional cross-dresser that I am. I feel very sexy in a double breasted jacket cut close to the bod with somewhat wide lapels — Think Bowie circa 1977 – the Thin White Duke sort of thing. Or even Mic Jagger around that time.
That shot of Anastasia Barbieri is one I’ve clipped from your blog to include in my collection of personal favorites and style inspirations. Clean, lean and mean. She’s sexy without being overt. Really a beautiful girl.
As for the above shot, to be honest I’m not loving this particular suit. Perhaps it’s the fabric, the shininess of it that calls to mind something a girl at the make-up counter might wear. I’m sure she’s chic and French and all that stuff but I need more than that…. this ain’t doin’ it for me.
I LOVE this bag- the balenciaga lariat. so soft, so supple, so roomy, so…i could go on. Do NOT like this office chic look tho. i think the suit shouldve been fitted, then perhaps it might have worked.
I love this outfit but do not care for the bag choice. Nothing wrong with the colour but the style of that balenciaga just throws it off, and it doesn’t seem in a deliberate way either. ANYWAY though.. this outfit is really superb.
It’s so quintessentially chic, walking through the Jardin de Tuilleries ( at least I think that’s where she’s walking:) looking effortlessly French. Love this
I absolutely adore the combination of the masculine and feminine in this shot. It is absolutely the perfect balance and completely a fashion forward look.
This sort of feminised menswear reminds me a lot of Mario Moya’s F/W 2009 collection- Zac Posen’s former head pattern maker’s debut collection is absolutely stunning. http://www.mariomoya.com
I like the look as a whole, but wish she’d taken off the black socks and showed a hint of ankle off. I love it, but don’t like it at the same time, I think it’s the trousers that just don’t look as luxe as the rest of the outfit.. Love the balenciaga though, it makes up for the bits I don’t like!

I like the mix of black and brown with a shock of white. Has an 80′s vibe for me — maybe it’s the shoes, sunglasses, and Annie Hall nod.
