Absolutely adore this modern retro look. He looks casual and sophisticated all at once. The colour palette is lovely. All that and it’s a gorgeous photograph.
(It also helps that he looks like the Norse god of supermodels.)
That’s a very nice cardigan. The colours have sort of a Christmas feel. I think cardigan sweaters are totally underrated. Many people it seems associate them with musty old men or Mr. Rogers. Not so! Cardigans not only have proud martial origins (the British cavalry commander, Earl of Cardigan, invented them), but they also are useful for layering and look great. I plan to pick up a cardigan sweater this autumn. J Crew and Orvis have some nice cardigans.
I love this look from the calves up. The striped socks with the hi-tops, combined with the shorts, white shirt, and cardigan, are just too little-boyish for me. Some low-tops, sans socks, would have looked great, imho.
It’s a cool cardigan and a great happening. I’m sure a lot of us have had the experience of strolling through a foreign city and crossing paths with someone from home. So that cardigan is an eye-opener in a couple of ways.
This is an awesome photograph. The light, the guy, the bike… too perfect ! I love the alliance between the (not so) old-fashioned cardigan, the shoes, and even the socks.
On most men I think the whole thing wouldn’t look right, but on this guy it all seems totally into place. I LOVE his glasses, too. The whole outfit makes him look unordinary and makes me wanna meet him :)
The master stroke is the white socks with stripes around the top. Talk about throwing down the gauntlet!! It’s like a red cape, teasing the toros (the fashionistas)…
And what a beautiful bike-friendly city! When will the rest of us learn?
That is totally the front cover of a J Crew Fall catalog waiting to happen. Great photo. You really put on a clinic with some of these shots lately Sart.
Seriously, Stockholm is shaping up to be one of the best ‘looking’ cities on the planet. I didn’t realize that until your blog. And as ridiculously good-looking as these folks are, they seem friendly, laid-back & playful about it.
I love everything about this picture. Everything! Though it’s green and red, the sweater doesn’t come off as Christmas-y, the bike is cool, the sneakers work, and the light coming from the stores…
this guy is so adorable! i just wanna dunk him in my Starbucks! the glasses really add that cuteness factor; he really reminds me of a loving grandpa – not sure if that’s a good thing or not.

Is it just me, or does he remind one of a Swedish Noah Wyle? I absolutely love what he’s wearing–cardigans can be so great!–plus his sweet expression.
