What I really find interesting about this picture is the idea of layering sportcoats. Almost like layering your boyfriend’s oversized sportcoat over your fitted one.

I have an old Harris tweed suit in exactly that herringbone – it looks very much like a vintage men’s jacket – good choice!

I agree with Sart’s commentary, but it is also reminiscent of wearing a vest/waist coat underneat your jacket. I’ve always liked the double breasted waist coat under the single breasted suit jacket. Part of the interest is that in this case, the waist coat matches the trousers and it is the upper layer that makes the contrast. Very cool look. Full of personality and confidence.

I like the layering of blazer and overcoat as long as the overcoat is longer, otherwise it looks a little clumsy. To me.
Great colors together though.

It is a very interesting concept! I think sometimes layering in the winter can get boring or sometimes I feel like I’m wearing my same winter coat non-stop. This seems like a great option to switch it up and wear lighter coats while not freezing your butt off!
