On the Street…..Viale Piave, Milan

I love this look!

In the fog of fashion week it somehow slipped by getting posted.

I love the quirky mix of 60′s-ish grey flannels vibe mixed with New Balance but more subtle (and sharper ) is the layered sleeve lengths of the shirt, jacket and coat.

Well, I hate to be the spoil-sport but the sneakers are for me what lets down the look. And I think so purely because i find them starting to become sartorial laziness.

        Okay, fire away!

Aside form those, I agree with Scott’s other comments whole-heartedly.

It’s funny you say that about the sleeves, it’s what bothered me about his style. Looks like he’s wearing someone else’s overcoat. A vintage find he didn’t have altered?

It was fine, ieven though a bit rumpled, until I scrolled to the feet. Gym shoes are for the gym.

Dreadful. Seriously those ugly runner things are everywhere now. They only look good with gym wear

his style digresses from his shirt and necktie…to his unkept coat and sneakers ..a little manic…

If you think this is a great look, you should come to Seattle. The only difference between this person and the typical homeless person is that this man seems to have good grooming.

Come to think of it–why DON’T you ever shoot Seattle?

Every time I see this trend with legs too short or sleeves too short all I can think of is PeeWee Herman and his comical, ill fitting suit which seems to have become all the fashion now.

Such a great shot, love that you can just see that tattoo on his leg. A great mix of casual, disheveled elegance.

usually love your photos, but this guy need a wash, and some help as he clearly has been sleeping rough .

He looks like he stepped right out of the Medieval period with that face! He looks slightly dirty, he’s utterly mismatched and he’s delightfully eye catching!

Love the grey coat, formal, and the sneakers, informal: love the original look :)

I still can’t get next to a suit with sneakers–besides that, his suit does not fit, and the coat sleeves are too short. Absolutely not…no!

Love the clean look of the dress shirt, tie, and overcoat. But, what really tops it off is the retro New Balance. That little twist is what make the entire thing jump.

Hate to admit it, but at first glance I thought he had PJ pants under his dress slacks and they were hanging out on one leg. Then I realized he had a tattoo! (Maybe my son is the only one who thinks it is a good idea to wear his PJ’s for an extra layer…)

No to the sneakers. It looks like he had to run out to the store and just put on whatever was near the front door as he was leaving.

I agree with the naysayers, not because of the sneakers…the clean, sharp shirt collar and tie call for a progression of elegance.

I get what you mean, but I actually like the rumpled vintage coat and charmingly goofy sneaker choice–to me, they keep the formal elements from getting stuffy or self-serious.

I am not a fan of new balance at all. More of a Nike sort of guy. I absolutely love this outfit. This handsome man may have convinced me to try on a pair.

Isn’t this look starting to feel lazy and unoriginal? Not that everything has to be original, but it doesnt even seem exemplary of the genre.
