I don’t like it. Never have liked short sleeves. I am glad people have stopped pushing everything up to their elbow, and I certainly don’t feel like dealing with this. For one thing, a sleeve is supposed to keep you WARM. Its non functional as well as a bit foolish looking.
And what a fine detail that is! I love all the funky things people do to play with proportion, sleeve length and pant-leg lengths… However, showing a hint of wrist or ankle always leads to a bit of curiosity at to what more there may be to see underneath it all – not to mention how slimming it seems to be. Nice photo!
There are a lot of guys out there who never let go of their GA Le Collezioni, etc., floppy trenches for just this moment. But they may not be aware that *that* moment is on the verge of happening. The mid-chest lapel cut-outs and epaulets dripping into the vertical axis are such quarter-century ago calling cards it hurts :)
I must say that I am a big fan of the roll-up sleeves look (or at least that partially pulled-up look that he’s wearing). And I can’t get enough of the trench coat – what really makes it for me are the gorgeous horn buttons – they have that faint glisten that reminds you that they’re indeed special but refined. I also like how he smartly paired the coat with the light blue spread collar and a black/navy sweater. This is a perfect fall look – it exudes casual style while still being completely and effortlessly functional. For the fall/autumn there’s really nothing better than a classical look for men, you’re prepared for anything but blend well with the scenery and display a natural confidence. Love this look!
