I like: the hair – Totally – the long and thin legs and the way she’s taking the picture.
I don’t like: the rest. The jacket (too big on the shoulders), the white shorts over the dark tights, the pink shoes.
It’s really an intersting coat. wow! she’s one of stylist photographers. So chic. Love to see photographers dress up and not just taking picture of an object but also become one of style icons themself.
Love the shoes but the jacket, not so much. I mean, it worked for this shot and it looks magnificent, theatrical even but I imagine the rest of the day it would look like she has a hunchback!
Always had my doubts about those kind of shoes, but she can definetly pull it off. She looks like a ballerina in those shoes, tights and skirt.
I always love pictures of people taking pictures :)
Looove this! The outfit is gorgeous and I love how it’s caught off guard and not someone posing with their camera. Creative. Not tacky tourist photo. Professional and also fashionable. :)
she looks like one of Shakespeare’s beautiful boys. A different kind of androgeny. I love the puff and sleek of hair and jacket and bloomers and calves. No, not Romeo, she’s more a bird caught between ruffle and sleek.
Beautiful jacket, a modern interpretation of an Edwardian shape. Clearly it wouldn’t work with everything or on everyone, but with a sleek bottom half (skirt or trousers) on such a great figure it is fabulous. The twisted pose is lovely too
I love the shoes and how they’re the only real color in her very nude color palette outfit. Gorgeous angle, and I love how she looks so glamorous and powerful…almost like she’s a ballerina :)
Love love love love love. LOVE. I would never pick out those shoes to go with those leggings but they so work. And who does her hair? I have to learn how to do that.

Is that culottes and a floaty lace tunic? Because that’s just awesome.
I recently read “Secrets of French Girls” which is about the style of the French – attention to proportion, detail, and timeless shapes instead of trends. Been trying to apply it to my wardrobe.
But I am boggled by this coat, I cannot decide if it is timeless or aramadillo-ish.
Such a fun jacket…if I were to try to make this for myself I would simply zig zag a piece of 1 inch wide elastic over the straight of grain on my fabric, cut out my back piece…what’s nice about all that gathering is that you don’t have to worry about any swayback issues.
Lovely principal boy silhouette and color palette! The pose is beautiful as well. The bloomers, in and of themselves, don’t appeal to my aesthetic, but they work perfectly here.
Fab-u-lous. She’s like a modern day version of an old Hollywood movie star walking down a red carpet: the puffy coat, the demure dress, the feminine figure and shoes.. the HAIR. Only she made it more current and not costume-y. FAB JOB GURL!
oh but the hair, i just love the dancer-like chignon–it complements beautifully the detailing on her back. she is simply lovely, a modern day Degas painting.
Micol, I guess the pressing question is ‘are you a dancer?’
I salute you nonetheless. Updo’s are never easy and the combination of styles work for you.
In many ways the outfit is an almost of medieval italian inspiration. Of course, it was the men who dressed like that back then. A full jacket with puffed sleeves nipped tightly at the waist. Underneath were woolen leggins and a colorful shoe. Whats (very, very) old is new again!
omg….a beautiful woman who isn’t wearing mega high heels…it gives me hope…and, I want those shoes. Seriously. The pantaloons, eh…but the shoes are GORgeous…especially with the tights.
Congratulations…to you and to her, because in this picture you synthesizes beauty, graciousness and style. Although is taken from behind, without a face, but is one of the most beautifull photo I´ve seen in your blog.
She’s stylist, model and commentator, a living synthesis of fashion. If she had designed and made those clothes, she would be an embodiment of the entire industry.
about the jacket…if I can not see it in total … I do not understand if it’s cool or not… the back could be interesting…
by the way… I think The jacket has a great personality … form and color..
and I think the shoes are not (definitely) fit with the jacket at all and the colors of the
tights too with all the rest… and it is useless to speak about the white shorts pants combined with the jacket and with all the rest.
I really like the photo..the pose, the attitude( a bit graceful) …hair, legs amazing…
I love the posture, the puffy jacket, the hair, the brown opaque tights, but why oh why those shoes? I would have preferred something nude or brown or in any case something ballerina-ish.
This is one of the prettiest pictures that I’ve seen on here in a very long time. That isn’t to say that I dislike any of the others, because I love this blog and I adore the photographs. But for some reason, this one made me compelled to comment, which is saying something. I love it. It’s beautiful. Terrific style.
I agree, it’s a great shot, but I don’t really like the outfit. All those single pieces don’t go well together but remain isolated. Maybe it would be better if the bloomers weren’t white. And I can’t make myself like kitten heels, even if I try hard. But still – I think it’s great that you capture people who try something new and not so conventional!
her legs were the central focal point for me. i love how the puffiness of the jacket and the dark tights highlight the muscle tone and streamline their shape even more. beautiful.
She looks so elegant. I love the sweeping arch of her body. There’s something about a woman that holds a camera to her eye. You can’t help yourself but stop and watch her, and wonder what she sees.

She’s stylist, model and commentator, a living synthesis of fashion. If she had designed and made those clothes, she would be an embodiment of the entire industry.

April 23, 2012 at 10:53 am
I’m totally in love with the hair!!!
amazing legs!
about the jacket…if I can not see it in total … I do not understand if it’s cool or not… the back could be interesting…
by the way… I think The jacket has a great personality … form and color..
and I think the shoes are not (definitely) fit with the jacket at all and the colors of the
tights too with all the rest… and it is useless to speak about the white shorts pants combined with the jacket and with all the rest.
I really like the photo..the pose, the attitude( a bit graceful) …hair, legs amazing…
but the outfit is a disaster
thanks for the photo

So graceful, looks almost like she is dancing! The jacket is interesting, but a little bit bulky

April 23, 2012 at 12:03 pm
The shoes mess it up for me.
I love the posture, the puffy jacket, the hair, the brown opaque tights, but why oh why those shoes? I would have preferred something nude or brown or in any case something ballerina-ish.
In any case this is a very interesting picture.
A big kiss from Greece!

This is one of the prettiest pictures that I’ve seen on here in a very long time. That isn’t to say that I dislike any of the others, because I love this blog and I adore the photographs. April 23, 2012 at 3:59 pm
