Photographer and fellow blogger Scott Schuman is rocking the world of fashion photography with his simplistic yet powerful shots of men and women seen on the streets of Milan and New York. What makes his photographs so captivating isn’t simply the style of his subjects but the subjects themselves. Schuman goes beyond the regular scope of candid fashion photos by doing the seemingly impossible: he captures the personality and essence of the people, bringing them to life beyond explanation. Schuman emphasizes, not the clothes, but the style of the wearer, accentuating one of the main factors of true style which is carriage. The grace and elegance of the wearer can convert jeans and a T-shirt to a chic even impactful ensemble. Scott Schuman is a great photographer with his ability to captivate the simple and amplify it in one of the most humble ways I’ve ever seen. In short, he has captured not only style, but the personalities that bring it to life.
This is such an amazing picture. I especially love the book market, something you see less these days. Those similar-looking multi-volume reference books remind me of the (now no more) Encyclopaedia Britannica.
The gentleman’s coat with the above ankle slim pants, finished off with simple flats all work together just elegantly. And the outside bookstore and red writing is so cool. This to me is a modern Audrey Hepburn. Lovely and thank you!
