Comments on a blog are a challenging thing to moderate. We are definitely not opposed to constructive criticism about a person’s style or a photograph; however, at times there is a bit of grey area with how that criticism is delivered. We just want to ensure that everyone can enjoy the blog, from the men and women that are photographed to the visitors of the site. Happy Thanksgiving!
I agree minge – with respect, Scott anything negative just doesn’t get published. I ADORE this site but even polite negative comments fail to make the airwaves.
thank you tallulah, I was beginning to wonder if I was the only one. My comments have often combined criticism, humour and flattery all in one…so go figure.
I disagree. First of all, your current comment just got published, didn’t it? Note: you called us sycophants – which is rather rude and insulting.
There is a photo from 2 days ago with a woman showing her rear end in very short shorts. There are many comments that were certainly not flattering. There are also criticism of Scott when he photographs women’s legs, for instance. Those comments are published too. I don’t think the issue is what is said, but the way it is said. I made a comment a few days ago that was a bit harsh and it was not published. I thought about it afterwards and I agree with their decision not to publish it.
I don’t know what you wrote, but perhaps your previous comments were not published because they were leaning on the side of rude and insulting rather than a constructive critique? I like this site because the readers are critical without being nasty.
I love pictures of friends. There is something always so relaxed and unassuming about those photos. It is always best when you catch people who don’t realize how stylish they are.
Just realized that sport coat is double breasted, very nice. It’s strange how this particular pattern / color combination looks so much better on women than it does on men. (Generally speaking, of course.)
It`s been really hard for me to find a really pretty plaid blazer. I find most of them kind of dull but this one is cheerful without passing my sobriety threshold. It`s that acquaqustum or some other english brand? Very nice..
It’s not only the clothes, but more of people’s attitude, the color composition with light, street fashion culture of different nations, and structure combination on the photos that Scott posts, which makes him special.
I like the composition and the smiles of the two girls on this photo.
