Between the rough and the smooth, the raw and the cooked, the courtier and the cowboy. Beautiful! Thank you Sartorialist.

He must be absolutely sweltering! But with good reason – very interesting styling.

Who would have thought that velvet jackets and jeans go so well together?

I’m really into the idea of denim jacket under blazer, but I can’t seem to get it to work for me…

Being a “blue” person I love these different hues and textures together.
The hat adds a fun note to the ensemble.

It’s a Tirolerhut. These hats appear also in northern Italy.

Sometimes Bavarian Styles work in combination with other stuff…

His velvet jacket is awesome, but I think that that hat was not the best choice ever ^^”

I adore this look! The Jean jacket & the velvet suit completely gave me new ideas for mixing textures!

I love velvet jackets. And they can be worn casual or more formally. My husband occasionally wears his black one with a grey hoodie and looks adorable. And also with a shirt and tie.

    Love this blue one!

Blue Blue Blue…I have always agreed with the notion of a denim jacket as a shirt.

In case the other comments were too subtle, it’s ‘Via Mozart’, like the composer. One ‘z’.

Great picture. I would like to thank you as well for the pure pleasure offered by this site. Unlike almost every other site I might routinely visit for information about the arts or current events, your blog is relatively unoccupied by advertising and the cult of celebrity. There is a wonderfully democratic feeling in admiring these (more or less) anonymous individuals that returns me to the joys of pre-iphone people watching. The watchful way of the flanneur has taken a beating in recent years, and I am grateful for the Sartorialist for supplying a dose of pleasurably-communicated self-consciousness.
