LOVELYY!! she looks so gorgeous.. love everything about this shot. the way she's using her sweater as a skirt, her glasses, the boots and ofcoarse the short hair!!
This is exquisite. Gamine hair, fresh face and a sweater sculpted into a skirt! The neckline adds that little bit of structure to the top. Love, love, love
I like everything but the boots. She looks like she's going on a walk and I'd recommend something made to exercise in. I do like her short hair and T shirt
it looks cute when she holds the skirt/sweater up on one side. the light in this picture is beautiful. The glasses are sweet! But the boots – well, zero points from me. The rest is very cool.
love the texture. Found your book in an amazing store (very funny face esque) in Brera the other day. Should take a picture for you. there on the shelve below chanel and bvlgari was The Sartorialist amongst a rather extensive fashion section in the loft!
so cool and relaxed!! I love it! But my question is… is that really 100% improv from a sweater or did someone actually have that amazing idea to make a skirt that looks like a sweater? Either way, her look is great!
I thought this was an elegantly tailored skirt until I spotted the sweatshirt cuffs; even better…beautiful. Dries Van noten was using this concept back in AW 08 and I am glad to see it is still around!
yeah guys, it s pretty much of a smart look but….I guess it works just for the picture cause we are on a 2 levels not 3dimension ! Can you immagine walking with that stuff all wrapped infront of you? you d either or look pregnant or possibly end up half naked in the middle of the street! what fun, Not so sure it works in real life!;)
This makes my Sartorialist top 10 list. It's street style, it's elegant, it doesn't scream "labels", it's fresh, it's creative, it suits the subject. I love it!
oh my GOD. This woman's style is unreal. Everything about is so original – her askew sunglasses, her hoodie tied around her waist. Honestly, so inspiring.
She SO owns this! It looks like she is wearing a sweatshirt as a skirt and it totally works. Even with the carpenter boots. Genius! Although this gorgeous woman could probably pull anything off…
I love! I've been doing this with a big men's wool sweater for a couple of winters now. Comfy and warm with tights, boots and a light parka. Toronto so-called style!
Absolutely love everything about this (except for the boots, which mar the leg line)! Am dying to know whether the cleverly tied sweatshirt is actually what she's *wearing* on the bottom — or is it merely an improvised, hot-day trick, and she's got on "official" shorts — or a slim, short skirt — underneath??
Never comment, but I look at the blog twice a day!
I love this look and its because of her confidence. The proportions and lines are not the most clean or flattering, but this girl puts it together in a way that's totally nonchanlant and sexy. I would feel awkard tucking my glasses in on that high a neckline, but it seems as if she does that all the time.
Great shot. All those disparate elements work: the short hair, the glasses, the sweatshirt/skirt, the simple bracelet and of course, the cool ankle books. Personal style at its very best–originality that works.
I love all these high neckline shirts in Milan. In my country (Australia) all you see is boring shirts and cleavage in the summer. I'm so over it. Long live great design and fabrics!
I love how creative this is…. If I am not mistaken the dress is a sweater turned on its ass.. What a great way to give new life to every day basics, and the lumberjack booties are on point!
OMG,,,,I love the uniqueness of this look, it is a different spin! To use a sweater as a skirt is a true stepping stone in creating a new appeal for a garment preset for an entire different everyday use.
Yes!!! That's exactly what I love to see on your blog! Genuine ideas to style up your look without spending or making yourself ridiculous! Why didn't I ever think of that? 'Complimenti' to the fresh girl from Milan!
love this look! she is so chic! That skirt is amazing! I wonder if it's actually a skirt or something else she created? And how she wears her sunnies on her collar – that is fantastic – or are they attached to her necklace? Would love to know this girl she looks like a lot of fun!
I love that look! The… skirt? looks so cool. I can't exactly make it out.. isnt it a jumper tied around your waist? I dont know, it looks awesome though anyway. I really want to find a skirt like that. I love the shoes too. x
Gosh…I remember doing this with my grey sweatshirt in my 20's (I'm 38 now)…people either thought I was clever…or…nuts…had a pixie-do at the time, too…ah, good times. Love it.
i do this often around my brooklyn neighborhood for a quick throw-together in the morning to run errands…hhmm, perhaps i should posh it up a bit. looks fab!
it looks horrible⊠how is it that it's ok to wear a sweater wrapped around your waist? i look at her and i wonder, "did she sleep over some dude's house last night? Was she too hung over to figure out where her real skirt was?" No. I love quirky, but this is not that. No. No.
Along the way, she meets some amazing and diverse people. As a reader, you learn about her background and the personal issues that led her to the decision to forsake the comforts and heartbreaks of home and head off on her own. I donât know that I would ever be brave enough to do what she did, but I was happy to travel vicariously through her!

OMG,,,,I love the uniqueness of this look, it is a different spin! To use a sweater as a skirt is a true stepping stone in creating a new appeal for a garment preset for an entire different everyday use.

I love the idea of a sweat-shirt as a skirt. Fantastic photo!

love this look! she is so chic!

Love it.

it looks horrible⊠how is it that it's ok to wear a sweater wrapped around your waist? i look at her and i wonder, "did she sleep over some dude's house last night? Was she too hung over to figure out where her real skirt was?" No. I love quirky, but this is not that. No. No.

Along the way, she meets some amazing and diverse people. As a reader, you learn about her background and the personal issues that led her to the decision to forsake the comforts and heartbreaks of home and head off on her own. I donât know that I would ever be brave enough to do what she did, but I was happy to travel vicariously through her!
