Very chic and sexy but I really don't understand why women think that heels look good with EVERYTHING. At this point heels are seen so often that they're just visual wallpaper, nothing unique or interesting. This could have been a 10 (rather than a 9) if she'd done some more interesting footwear–boots, clogs, flats. (At the very least the heels should fit–this are clearly too big.)
I came from Milan last week and a big part of my decision to go was due to your photographs. I'm really glad I went there! There's a subtle and exquisite flare for elegance and good taste that looks ever so effortless.
Very classic, very Italian. I think it is perhaps a slightly older look for one so young, and the shoes are a little too 80s in shape for my liking. However, she is a woman that can pull this look off. Not everyone could.
Love this. The nude heels look amazing with the slouchy top and chic shorts. I like the length of the shorts, they're a tad long compared to what I'd wear but they look great on her.
I think this is a wonderful outfit for going out in, a little bit sexy, a little bit casual. She could go to the beach and then on to a bar to go dancing.
everything but the heals, personally I think this would have looked prettier with flats in the same colour as the heals she is wearing. otherwise it's a lovely look, so easy, soft and feminine.
True Style in Relaxed Glamour. I cannot stop checking your blog. I make the big move to Milano in March, and if all dress as fabulously as those you photograph. I shant need to look far for inspiration. Thank you. x
Like the half-tucked shirt, but Garance did heels with slouchy shorts much better. Can't decide whether the pumps here look oddly middle-aged or just twee.
Absolute perfection – the best outfit I've ever seen on here and I've been following this blog for years! (Sorry Giovanna, you've been de-throned but I still love you!)
I had to stop and comment on this post because she looks very classy. She's someone i'd walk down the street and think that she has a great sense of fashion. The clothes are large on her but she wears them well. the color scheme works together as a whole, the shorts are great, the watch, the aviators and the neutral shoes. As a photograph the exposure could probably be a little bit better but the colors don't look like they need adjusting and the subject is in complete focus. Overall i was very drawn to this image and she wouldve been someone i would have loved to have met.
I love the chilled blue top and jacket, the dusty pink baggy shorts are fantastic. I love her "crystal" beads…… But the shoes? Ugh! They kill the outfit as far as I'm concerned. The color, the pink, is wrong. Not even in the same family on the palette. Even worse, I think the shoes may have a pearlescent sheen to them, not positive, but I think I detect it. Too bad for she is lovely, just lovely.
Ok… I see this all the time… BEAUTIFULLY draped shirts in Europe. This is such an incredibly effortless and elegant look. Where do we find these shirts in NYC? They have to exist here… I can't find them. She is truly stunning.
So many negative comments about the shoes..?!? The shoes are what makes this picture so great! It was the best surprise as I was scrolling down.. for some reason I was expecting sneakers. :) I'd love to know what caught the Sartorialist's eye.

I'd love to know what caught the Sartorialist's eye.
