I actually really like this picture, but I don’t find it or her outfit as edgy as the ones you usually post. I’d love to know what moved you about this woman, or what she was doing?
Love high-waisted bootcut jeans, although I somewhat boringly stick to skinny jeans on a daily basis. I’m going to get a pair soon, and wear it with tucked in colouful blouses.
What a stunning jacket! And those pants. She looks amazing. It’s so funny to see people with their phones as cameras, just snapping away. Makes life a whole lot easier though. And very blog-able!
-Charlotte http://www.thewilderthings.com
I think the combination of those pants and jacket looks awesome on her. I like the fact that the buttons are not the typical golden ones… a rock and military mix and twist!
Lots of shapes, lines and angles created by the knee bend. Great vitality to this composition.
Even the photographer over her shoulder is in on the action.
Gah! I love this! The buttons on her coat & the silhouette of the coat itself caught my eye. I am also liking how the jeans fit her, the length is perfect! Great outfit! She looks comfy & happy! :)
LOVE that jacket!
@Monsieur Marcel–you’re dead-on about the lines; almost all of them echo the angles of her body, so while there’s a lot going on here, the shot still feels harmonious.
I love seeing a bootcut pant featured here. The curent trend of skinny jeans is far from universally flattering and one that I stick to quite loyally. Just because something is easy to wear doesn’t mean it can’t also be fashion-forward.
Hi Scott, great shot, new news of the season, flared jeans + heels….one thing though seems to be coming forward in all the comments which makes me question the actual purpose of the posts: are the persons having a blog of their own actually posting a worthy comment (which I think they are barely), asit mostly comes down to a promo of their own blog….what is the actual ethics behind such a comment? time to draw some clear lines i would say, it used to be fun reading various interesting posts, which recently turned into a blog promo. that was not the basic idea, was it? good luck in sorting out the current mass.
Love this photo. There’s a perfect balance to it. The edginess of the outfit, the shoes just about showing, in combination with the pose she has taken. Bonus, is the smile and the inferrence that she is photographing someone. :)
I like this look altogether. The jacket is amazing and fits her like a glove. I love the old militaristic style with modern and old fashioned styling (?). Very cool!

The jeans and jacket combination is casual and fantastic, though it appears that the jeans have become frayed at the back (a real issue with flares).
I would have liked to have seen a large buckled belt with the jeans as well.
If you look closely the woman behind her is wearing an excellent cream blazer too.
