There’s a lot to love about this photo – the activity surrounding the stillness of the woman in the center, the reflection on the sunglasses of the woman to the left. Plus, her dress, her pose, the fact that here eyes are closed… So great.
I know that she may well have shoes to change in to, but I always think that women who wear flats look fresh and exciting. I think it demonstrates a certain amount of confidence and individualism to not wear heels in the evening or at fashion events.
I love this photo and would love to print it and put it on my wall. Is that allowed? I assume the print quality would be terrible from a web-sized photo. Is there a repository to download higher quality?
The white outfit
is simply beautiful.
But the most beautiful,
is that she thought it,
on the street,
in the subway,
awaiting the green light
to share his good vibration
with those on the side.
At a Spanish villa next to the shore…waves crash on the beach–controlled thoughts. White-Clothed in her mood of the day she moves along the dark framed rigid masses with her cool flowing thoughts and dress.
Amazing photo. In fact, this may be one of the best-composed street/unposed photos I’ve seen. The lines of the building, the alternating areas of light & dark, and the angles of the bodies of the folks surrounding the woman in white all drive the energy of the photo toward her, whose ethereal dreaminess is the perfect counterpoint.
I think this is my favourite photo I’ve seen on your blog, the black and white is so effective and I love how you’ve captured three such different expressions in one instant – irritation?, serenity, mirth.
As someone already mentioned, a true Cartier-Bresson ‘decisive moment’.
