Normally i hate the long baggy shorts, a look all too prevalent here in the uk, but you have found 2 very cool examples: the guy in the top photo works the proportion with the large spot jacket and matching his shirt and espadrilles so the shots aren’t the main focus and those over-size gym shorts in the second picture (they look like our school gym shorts when i was in first grade..) are just wild!
I think the proportion is right in the first style, but the shorts themselves are rather disappointing. I would have liked very much to have seen the second style from the front. On a man of delicate and slight features, it would look stunning. A different pair of shoes would make it less schoolboy though.
I like the smart shorts look – nice and crisp. You had some really good examples here last summer. The slouchy shorts don’t do it for me to the same extent. There is a bit of a sartorial confusion going on here, especially on the first pic. On the second pic the baggy shorts look a bit like a skirt but without the manly charm of a kilt or even a sarong.
well, Thanks for all of your comments guys!!!!! it gave me a good laugh anyway!!!!! the baggy and easy short is from “Z” by Zegna amazing collection from Alessandro Sartori, the cotton navy jacket is from Ralph Lauren, the ugly socks as you said are from Uniclo!!!,and sneakers from Nike. well, I’m not Charlie Porter,it ‘s just me and my man in Paris july 2008 at JPG show. ah ah ah ah ah!!!!
