I know that this is not a Thom Browne discussion, but the NYTimes has a great slide show showing some of his looks. I liked this one, and I am not generally a Thom Browne fan. Anyway, do like the furry collar of the gentleman above.
This is the man all the rappers are trying to look like…. the hat, the fur, the cane, the beautiful suit and coat with the purple tie. He looks fantastic and it’s refreshing to see the original!
What a combination of sophistication and flair! Of function and fashion! I love that you don’t just photograph young people. We can learn a lot about fashion for the elder-wise.
i’m an italian girl…i’m 17….i just wanna say that this kind of man is very rare in italy…i’ve never seen old men like him here!!!!i just love him!he’s so smart and fashionable….ihihihi….
His look is very old money, daper, and elegent. The cordination is excellent, with just the right amount of color. We should all aspire to such a cultivated and prestegious appearance, though from the looks of it it might take you awhile.
This is the person I want to have lunch with every day for the rest of my life. I mean, look at that coat! You just know he’ll be interesting. Very, very interesting.
I totally agree with Christina’s comment. He’s an original. I love the way he looks and you know for certain he has always dressed and been this very same way.
What a well dressed gentleman! His style is quite meticulous, and yet, looks effortless in a way. The coat-sleeve and trousers are tailored to just about the perfect length.
u totally made my day with this picture . Im sure he must have his butler laying out his clothes in the morning – its old hollywood styling ( or trading places!!) . I would love to be a fly on the wall to his life for a week , i bet he has fascintating stories to tell over a few cigars and a brandy in a gentlemans club
If this were “I” that saw him in the flesh instead, I would probably be one of thoae types that would do double and triple takes..and then scold myself for staring so much…
This is what my dream future husband looks like…as corny as that may sound..

Looking at this gentleman I suddenly understand why you say in English “to g r o w old”. He looks very grown. I wish to be able to follow his example.

serendipitous juxtaposition of contrasts—the store window summery announcement vs the gentleman’s outfit

Having just attended the 2007 Midwest Hip Hop Convergence, I have to say I love the comment made by Christina.
Yes, there is a lot that’s hip hoppy about this “ole’” man’s style!
