The combination of colors in this outfit is perfection – those sequins peeking out under the mustard jacket are to die for! Love the black scarf tossed over everything also!
I love the shiny top juxtaposed to the very vibrant yellow coat & the dark jeans. The boots are a great touch and the bag & the scarf goes flawlessly together!
It's a quite interesting mix of textures but specially colors and prints! I like seeing the sequins with mustard and then to top it all up the leopard burgundy satchel! How cool?
She looks absolutly perfect and put together. Love everything about the look. Specially the contrast of the lower layer and her coat. A perfect mix between casual and lux.
Love her LOOK! It's simply FANTASTIK The mix of the scarf, the jacket, the paillettes..PERFECT.. I agree with Mlle G. ..So GossipGirl-ish But I love MORE the across body bag!!
The outfit is very chic and well put together. But she looks realy too proud of herself and self-absorbed. That's only my opinion. If only she smiled… I love her coat though.
Nice look! These yellow cabs everywhere make me dream of a place where cabs would be yellow, phonebooths and letter box would be London red and buses would be green (a wee bit more saturated than in Paris.
Hello, today I've visited your blog for the first time and I totally felt in love with your photos! For example I like this one very very much! I'm sorry for the bad english, I'm italian and not so good. :) Congratulation again! Chiara.
So many wonderful things about this photo. The glitter is gorgeous. The background is so representative of our city and the colors of the subject and the cabs blend so well. Nice composition. Love.
Looks like I'm definitely not the first person to think that this is what the real Serena van der Woodsen would look like. From the books, not the show, claro.
i don't think there is one piece of clothing on this woman that i do not love. excuse me while i go scour the internet looking for a more economically sound was to rock this ensemble (as she's walking around on the upper east side, it's hard for me to think this look cost her less than $1000 haha).
This girl looks so chic. The sequins and the soft coat is an amazing combination. She definitely reminds me of a character from Gossip Girl but a little more mature and cool. The raybans add mystery and class to the outfit.
The coat and boots are beautiful, but I'm sorry: something about this photo makes me depressed about humanity. She looks smug and entitled, and it bothers me that so many people praise that.
Perfect outfit! Adore the sparkle and subtle leopard print. Rejected a jacket this colour only yesterday, now seriously regretting it……ivestiti.blogspot.com
Perfect outfit! Hello! Love the sparkle and subtle leopard print. Rejected a jacket this colour just yesterday, seriously regretting this now……ivestiti.blogspot.com
The coat looks more mustard yellow to me, an underrated, awesome color I wish people would wear more! Especially in that Rodarte for Target lingerie-inspired dress…
Everything about this photo is GORGEOUS!!! Like most people are mentioning today, all of the pieces balance each other and the colour of her coat is really great.
If Mad Men were set in contemporary NY and Don moved the family to the city, this is what January Jones would look like. Expensive, perfect, yet dissatisfied.
This photo is different because she appears to be unhappy. Whether she is or isn't isn't our business. It stands out in contrast to so many others who appear (but may not truly be) happy. Interesting that one picture brings up so many associations.
stunning. glamorous. the coat is spectacular. she looks much better than I did waling 40 blocks today and then back wtih 30 lbs of groceries from a Japanese market!
Apart from the excellent get-up, her whole 'bearing' and the way she carried herself gave this image the "oomph" factor. It's emanating from the picture.
Very put together–if she were 50-something. This outfit seems too rich for a WASPy blonde and slight woman in her 30s or even 40s. It's just one flashy element too many. When you have good looks and body, you don't need to load it on. Unless she's Italian or Brazilian. Cute boots, great bag.
Great look! The coat with powerful color and shape plus the dark scarf. Amazing bag of Alexa in Oak Shiny Leopard for Mulberry! Is it the Oversized Alexa? Please tell me!
Wow, she definitely dressed on the right side of her closet that morning! The outfit looks fabulous on her!! The color combination is brilliant, and what's even cooler is the way she carried herself with that look on her face — despite the freezing cold weather in new york!! Or maybe the shot was captured at THE perfect moment when not even a slight indication of her being freezing cold was present :) Congratulations, Sartorialist!
I love how she manages to look incredibly put-together while remaining so effortless. I think that her hair, tucked under her scarf, is the perfect way to round out this outfit. Divine.
This is the first shot in a while that seems genuine, like you really just crossed paths with her on the street. Now, I understand that this may not be the case, but it feels that way! And it's refreshing!
The yellow taxis all lined up perfectly in the background are the BEST PART of this photo. What a cool frame for the subject. I love how her coat matches the cabs in color as well.
YOWZA, this is PERFECT. I love everything about this look, if I saw her on the street I'd gawk at her outfit the whole time, so chic! Especially that coat and those boots, love love love lovvvveeee!
Love her, absolute perfection from head to toe. She is really dressed up and I'm loving it. She looks like one of your regulars, but I'm not sure. Love her coat and bag, fantastic!
This outfit has great potential, but the cliched rich-girl hair and makeup, along with the excessive "polish" of the ensemble as a whole (real boots have scuff marks!), strip away any cool it might possess.
Who ever thought classic could be so Revolutionary..? Her hair and legs of course add fantastic proportion to her accessories. I love the angles, the colors- and I can almost touch the textures of the various fabrics she has combined. That capturing is the work of the Photographer..;) Lovely.
LOVE it! The gold sequins and the mustard go together beautifully…. that bag is also amazing. She looks so slick and confident. Love NY, cant wait to visit. Tess.
Oooohh I love this! I'm a big fan of yellows and mustards and this jacket is fabulous! Love the sequin top underneath for daytime and the boots and bag! Perfect day to evening outfit!
I agree the outfit is perfection and it just screams Gossip Girl – however, something is missing – a smile, or at least a friendly glance!! Attitude is so much more important than the actual clothes!!
i love all the elements of her outfit (they all vye for your attention in some way), but i'm particularly impressed with the simplicity of her black scarf – it just ties the whole thing together. J'adore!
This is one of my favourite ever looks snapped by Scott. As someone else said, it is the layering of similar colours within different textures, set off by the black. Amazing. I loved it so much I linked it to my blog. http://thebeautyphilosopher.wordpress.com/
PS I hope it is okay to link my blog? I have credited the image.

Divine.

This is one of my favourite ever looks snapped by Scott. As someone else said, it is the layering of similar colours within different textures, set off by the black. Amazing. I loved it so much I linked it to my blog. http://thebeautyphilosopher.wordpress.com/
