I love the midi skirt but especially love the unexpected peep toe in her heel… Also drawn to the cardigan — it would seem very 50s/early 60s if not for its straighter silhouette and slightly longer length. I think it’s that proportion to her waist that makes it feel more contemporary and less ‘dated’. Hair and makeup is perfectly enhanced with the jewels dotting her ear.
I love the light and the criss cross effect behind her. The whole shot is beautifully framed – and lit. She does this look very well – she must work hard at it – and she’s beautiful. But, personally, I’ve seen 1950s polka dots, Betty Page fringe, dirndle skirt and red black and white done so many times and for so long – since the 1980s ( my best friend did a version of it when we were 17) – it’s not interesting to me any more – even the tattooed versions that sprung up ten years ago don’t get me any longer. I love this music, culture and scene though – and I bet she’s fab. Sorry beautiful lady, gorgeous shot though Scott.
Great vintage inspired look! I especially love that it isn’t rockabilly, but actually more real 50′s, almost 40′s. And unlike the pin up looks I have seen now and then she is actually modest! I absolutely LOVE that! Usually when girls do a look like this, they need to push up their tatas and wear unreasonably high heels. She is an original! Kudos to a comfident and stylish young woman!
