This picture proves that real style doesn’t have to be on his own, but they look like one person. They just fit with each other like their clothes fits themselves.
Amazing shot. What in the world was the background- it looks like a studio photo except for the slightly visible texture under their feet.I wonder how you did that? They look great individually and together. I think their personal styles ARE different, but definitely sympatico. Sweet.
i don’t understand the background of this photo. they seem to be floating. i’d like to see the street around them. love how their styles complement each other.
His shoes are cool…. i wish the trogan sandal shoe thing was over..its kinda tired with the exception of the punk spike ones i saw somewhere the other day.
Two Fake. On the street? You must mean in the studio. Perhaps some of the other street photography could be staged as well? I find this shot very bothersome, it takes away from admiration I had for your on the spot abilities as a photographer and fashion journalist. How do we know a whole team of people didn’t dress these people up? I cant appreciate the idea as much if I think it’s all made up. sorry.
I like her shoes. They make such a nice couple…. aaaahhh. So beautifully dressed and so well matched like a pair of shoes. Or a matching shoes and handbag set.
Cute together and separately. I like how she’s toned down the ethereal dress with cute dark flats and chic cropped hair, and his shoes and sweater are gorgeous.
por fin me animo a dejar un comentario. este blog supone para mi una fuente de inspiracion diaria y ayuda a que mis mañanas sean menos grises. gracias
This photo reminds me of a contemporary spin of the painting ¨American Gothic,¨ by Grant Wood. They each have similar dispositions and blank expressions.
The guy is just such a perfect match. I love how the inside of his jeans works with the sweater. Shows great creativity!! Overall I am quite sick and tired of jeans as so many people overuse them. But here they are worn in such a perfect way!
Love her outfit, which is basically two classic items put together. He uses classic/basics as well. Not sure whether I liked the mini-roll up legs. In combination with the sweater below the waist, they make his legs look even shorter. My legs are on the short side too, that’s how I know! Great pair- was this photo taken on the street? Jorge from W Palm Beach
To pull off this look, a girl’s gotta have nice legs. She’s got great ones. I am green with envy. I like what the guy’s wearing too…very cool couple/siblings(?).
My boyfriend dresses just like this, because he’s French. Its funny how you notice it in the U.S., but in Europe shirt and sweater and jeans and nice shoes is a basic uniform…
Her outfit I love, however, and they do have a great synergy.
Who makes her dress? Could this be inside a tent at Fashion Week? That seems more likely than “on the street” though it is a semi-public place and could be considered philosophically to be “the street”. They are certainly not hired models, so I suppose it is “on the street” in terms of street vs. couture.
Hi Scott – I just wanted to mention that now that this shot has found it’s way over to your site from style.com it is the young lady’s second appearance on your site. The first:
not to plug my favourite hand-made bag brand, but you can find similar big leather bags on http://www.nivaldodelima.com. i have nivaldo’s kenya bag and it’s such a classic accessory.
her shoes are an absolute staple. where can i find a pair like that? i’ll fly out of my little island/country just to get them.
