i must say i love the fact that you haven’t chosen very traditional looking swedes. as a norwegian, and a scandinavian i know what boxes the 3 scandinavian countries are put in, and i love how you have chosen a rich blend of people and styles. very cool
I think this is a great mix of pattern and color, all of which compliment the coloring of the young woman.
What I’m really interested by is how the fit of the jacket makes the blouse underneath poof out at the bottom; it looks almost as if she were wearing a small tutu. Tutus are always cool, IMO.
Does her jacket really work for her? I have always believed that clothes should at least aim to balance out your body (ie, small patterns for a smaller person, vertical stripes for a shorter person…). In her case, the shrunken jacket serves just to emphasise how very small her shoulders are. But then again, maybe that is what she was going for… Still, she does look great.
Regardless of whether her clothes “work for her” (I can’t presume to know), this girl’s wry, unforgettable smile and air of confidence make her very stylish indeed.
This is a fantastic photograph, more art than fashion, to me. One of my favourites.
yes gregory_fb i do totally agree with you! to not be afraid to show the layer underneath the jacket is something to be really proud of. go sweden! go södermalm!
I am glad to see that there is also graffiti in Stockholm and not just in Hamburg. I was so excited when I saw the Hamburg pictures, you were right in my back? front? yard. I live just about 2hrs away. Too cool.

The colors in this image are great!
I love the electric blue and the way the red from the background is repeaded in her sunglasses.
