I really dig the houndstooth coat and the denim. Not something you typically see on a guy. The tassel loafers and socks is great on the female, as well.
I know I'm supposed to look at the tweed and denim of these pictures, but I like the girl's loafers with the tassels and the ankle socks. It's taking some time to persuade me, but I like the socks and flat shoes look. It especially looks good with nice legs.
Only commenting because I like the word tweed. Though it does sound like weed and I've never done weed so not sure why I like the word. The coat looks pretty old actually. I personally like short cut tweet like Chanel jacket style…that's classy tweed. :)
A-ha! Great black boots on a puddle splashing mission maybe…? – best in a city where, in the not too distant future, salt water puddles will rule the way and the day from tons of the stuff spread about a city's undeserving streets…Tweed, tweed, beautiful tweed! (as sung to the opening strains of the theme to The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie)
Those black boots bring back memories–back in the day in my little horsey circle brand new boots signified a lack of the rider's experience (and they were incredibly uncomfortable!) and so we developed strategies to break them in as quickly as possible. I'll love these boots so much more once they have some miles on them. In the second photo, the rumpled ankle socks with the gorgeous tasseled loafers–!
a more relaxed suedehead style, very nice, you can't really go wrong with well tailored brown houndstooth trench and sharp ankle boots or wingtips, the addition of dark denim skinnies really adds something refreshingly unexpected but still true to the classic forms. Also, love that its brown houndstooth and dark denim, black houndstooth wouldn't work as well.
LOVE the combo in the first photo; love even more that the jeans & boots are being worn old-school New England hockey player style (guys in my high school wore their jeans or Levi's cords semi-tucked into untied Timberlands this way–or the reverse, with the pants tucked into the barrel of the boot but over the tongue …)
Loafers and socks – reminds me of my boarding school years in Switzerland.
The combination in the first image is so Striking – the boots shine against the blue of the jeans paired with that jacket. I adore the details on the boots, too.
Love it reminds me of high school late 80's. Buying second hand old man tweed coats and pairing them with Santana jeans (tapered with zippers so you could get your foot through) and Doctor Marten creepers.
I prefer the second photo. Really nice wide houndstooth paired with the light creme shoe. His better half has great tassle shoes as well.
Nice boots on the first, but a forced look what with the exaggerated tongue exposure; this cat wants people to look down and admire. Rule of Thumb – don't scream it, whisper…
