Perfect time for me to see this photo. I was thinking about selling my black Kelly but I am inspired once again. Now I just need some fierce heels to freshen up my look.
This woman looks wonderful! I love the classic clothing and bag (plus stud earrings and double-wrap watch), with the surprise of the edgier, trendy shoe. While I love looking at photographs of fashion types captured out and about during the shows, sometimes, even when they look great, they're also so up-to-the-minute that they're sort of…fashion victimy. (Gio is an exception! As is this lady.)
This picture is inspirational for us mere mortals: It suggests a way to mix one fantastic, trendy item with things we already have. The magazines are always telling us to do this, but they can never SHOW us how to do it, because they always have to feature trendy new clothes to attract advertising. It's great to see an example of classic style that also looks modern and nonstuffy. Plus — killer stems never hurt!!
I love the comfy sophistication of the vestements with the krazy sexy chaussures! Does anyone else find this a liberating, newer trend of the aughts in women's fashion – that extremely hot shoes can be worn with nearly any outfit? -SS Portland, OR
she looks lovely, classy. i have those dior "sex and the city" shoes in black- my favorite pair! i like how she wears hers here with something simple- makes the shoes really stand out.
I love her outfit: blue on blue that's comfortable and loose. I have hated almost all takes on the bondage shoes but this looks sexy and beautiful. Inspiring sartorialist!
A natural and beautiful woman and I am LOVING everything about her ensemble…the blue colours, cut, bag and of course the SHOES! Elle est bien dans sa peau.
Sorry to say, but I find most fashionistas icy and somewhat snooty. This woman however; appears to be the total opposite of that.. Her smile is so inviting even though initially one might think: snob! I like this pic a lot…
Yes, many have made the same points I would, but she is an example of classic but modern. The shoes need the quietness of everything else to strut their stuff and she's got it down. I'm glad you had two photos so we can see how beautiful her smile is in the second while showing her cool in the first. A favorite set of pics, for sure.
Love that she took off the dark glasses and smiled for the pic. I would've done the sane. Anybody find it hard to talk to or connect with people while wearing dark glasses?
Even though it is more posed, I like the second shot much better. The smile and pose are way more attractive, relaxed and inviting. Plus I am developing a peeve about people texting. There is something about fashion and style that has to do with the present moment in a particular space that texting does not participate in.
This woman's elegance does not come from her clothes. It comes from within… You either have it, or you don't… She would look equally chic in a burlap sack. And that's my two cents!
