May 31, 2011 at 5:06 pm

Love it. If you hadn't told us Tompkins Sq Park, I would've guessed a cigar factory in the Dominican Republic.

Fun hat and I really like the gold watch and ring in it all!
May 31, 2011 at 5:28 pm
rocking the hat and he knows it! great photo
I guess this follows from the old-fashioned pictures? Nice attire. Reminds me of my time in the boy scouts.
May 31, 2011 at 5:32 pm
Now why does this look good to me now yet would not have in its heyday of the 70s…hmmm…off to ponder….

There's nothing sweeter than the style of an old man, with or without sandals and socks.
May 31, 2011 at 5:48 pm
Nice photo! Love the colors, and his look brings a feeling of relax :)
May 31, 2011 at 5:53 pm
May 31, 2011 at 5:58 pm
Wow this guy is great! He reminds me of my grandpa except a lot classier. Who said you can't wear sandals and socks, again? Cuz that person should take a look at this gentleman.

These two photos represent an iconic generation long since passed. KC Rowland's style and Clair with her vintage dress that is the sexiest pic I've seen you post thus far.
May 31, 2011 at 6:24 pm
Isn't he just the coolest dude.
May 31, 2011 at 6:30 pm
I like his carey glasses. He is probably happy thru those lens.
May 31, 2011 at 6:32 pm

I'm going to be on your Barcelona's Masterclasson Tuesdayyyyy!! and I'm so happy!
Besossss from BARCELONA!
May 31, 2011 at 6:40 pm
The jewelry and slight scowl give him a BrickTop kinda feel…
Is he wearing two watches?
May 31, 2011 at 6:56 pm
I like sandals and socks, dammit. Comfortable as hell and a proper FU to lazy style writers who slap this on lists of apparent faux pas year in, year out.
May 31, 2011 at 7:08 pm
Got to love socks with sandals
May 31, 2011 at 7:29 pm
the socks and sandals make me chuckle. Overall I like his entire look, especially his glasses and hat
May 31, 2011 at 7:37 pm
Cool look from head to toe. I dig the fedora hat!
May 31, 2011 at 7:54 pm
This picture made me smile. My dad wore that same hat. It is one of the few things of his I kept after he died. It still smells of his Marlboro Lights.
May 31, 2011 at 7:57 pm
lovely, but i'm in agreement about the socks/sandals combo: if it's too cold to go sockless, wear shoes. or move to seattle as this unfortunate fashion statement is all too prevalent here.
May 31, 2011 at 8:28 pm
I like the guy's hat, shirt, and necklace.
May 31, 2011 at 8:30 pm
Minus the hat and it's my dad's style…
May 31, 2011 at 8:32 pm
He is amazing! Love the necklace in particular.
May 31, 2011 at 8:52 pm
I wnat to get old like him..Can I??
May 31, 2011 at 9:33 pm
This is awesome, reminds me of my boyfriend's great grandpa. Older men pull off the hat look perfectly.
May 31, 2011 at 10:12 pm
He really is an amazing character. Love the socks and sandals.
May 31, 2011 at 10:30 pm

June 1, 2011 at 3:33 am
He looks like he couldn't give a flying rat's nether bits about anyone else's opinion of sandals with socks. He likes them. He wears them. Any questions? He didn't think so.

June 1, 2011 at 5:26 am
Love an urban safari! I didn't automatically experience feelings of warmth when I saw this though. Im being honest! Appreciating the fact that he doesn't want to blend into the crowd though : )

Love the utility and comfort of his outfit. Pockets for his reading glasses and wallet. And Crystal Power to enhance his mojo out there in the concrete jungle.

June 1, 2011 at 10:22 am
I love his hat!!
June 1, 2011 at 10:45 am
Scott-I don't understand the "original Prada" connection here???
June 1, 2011 at 10:47 am
Love the hat, the shades and the sandals. I even do not mind the socks. After all, they are not white but stay within the colour range. And at his age, he is right to keep his feet comfy and warm. This is a stylish man.
June 1, 2011 at 11:41 am
If it weren't for the giant crystal, I'd think my dear, departed Zadie (Grandpa) had come back to life.
