And this is definitely one of the best environment/atmosphere shots I’ve seen on The Sartorialist. Hope it makes it into a book sometimes.

Because boys aren’t as interesting to look at. I am a very heterosexual girl, and still i can admit that women are far more fun to look at as a general rule. I guess us girls are just more individual.

She looks like a woman with a mission. I love her shoes, they say sturdy and practical. When I was in design school, wore red Doc Martens with a green sweater. Seemed normal somehow.

Why would you call her a girl? Great picture of a woman.

  53. Alma

    May 10, 2013 at 10:24 am

I love tis picture, I think there is something really hipster there, the essence of something really different which set apart from the rest.
I love your idea of shooting different settings, i mean i love seeing the catwalk soots or the people from fashion industry, the can inspire us… But in the end they are too far from “normal” people, style is something more than a dress or the perfect outfit… style is how you move, how you face your normal day the most artistically you can, style is seeing “normal” people who stand out from the others, people who remind you that the world is plenty of diferent people…

Once more I love your work and i believe that there’s a rare feature among us can see the difference, can appreciate it, and your work is one of the best examples of it.
    Sorry for my bad english

Do you really have to call them “girls” in your posts? Surely these are women. Girls are lovely subjects, but they tend to be in the 3-18-year -old range, wouldn’t you agree?

… I agree with K.C – I know you admire the woman as subject, so how about giving us age appropriate titles that are respectful to our gender…personally, it comes across as quite old fashioned and if some ladies were to assume the worst, It could also come across as patronizing…you do tend to photograph the ‘modern woman’ so the titles can be contradictory to what a modern woman may want to be projecting in this society…I love your photography, but I’m starting to get put off by ‘all the pretty….’ etc.
