I love the attitude too, and the glasses are great, but I think that knitted cardigan/coat is really swamping her, and making her legs look super-short! Interesting shot when compared with the one immediately below it, and the girl who has made herself look a lot taller than she is by wearing the right cut of trousers.
I like the glasses, but I think that cardigan/coat is really swamping her – it makes her legs look so short! It’s interesting to compare this shot with the one immediately below it, where a short girl has made herself look a lot more willowy, all through choosing a good trouser cut.
From the waist up, the sunglasses are very cool and very well blended with her skin tone and her pretty face, so is her beautiful black hair getting confused with her black scarf. I also like the grey cardigan and even that coat is quite interesting. Now, I can understand the point of the grungy style created with those boats, I personally don’t really like they way they look on her: too tough and masculine for my taste.
Why would everyone want to look taller, have longer legs and follow rules like “never wear navy with black and brown?” Sometimes it is about texture, palette, attitude and personality, combining to make the wearer happy. She is working all of the preceeding! Oh, the confidence. I love this.
So masculine, so Japan. I think people should dress up more for school and I think they’d enjoy it that much more. At a California school of more than 3500 there’s endless possibilities yet I see the same lazy look day in and out.
i have a particular love with olive-grays and dark red combo. anything but black and yet dark and very well pulls it all in together. also the combo of the cotton-ish materials in varies mediums its pretty cool. love the way her long hair mixes with the scarf.
