In what way does a pair of lose, comfortable PANTS emasculate a man. Neither these nor skinny jeans do anything of the sort. And any man that fears being neutered by any article of clothing isn’t all that much of a man to begin with!!!!!!

They look comfortable and they are certainly looking good on that guy. Besides, flattering isn’t that important. if you are good looking, you will pull them off no prob. if you were not to start with then no worries, you haven’t lost anything. people should be less concerned with “flattering” and more concerned with cool, comfortable and different. A change is ALWAYS good.

Top Shop has had the ‘carrot’ fit for a bit now and I actually like the way they look, even if they’re not the most comfortable fit in the world. I sort of like the air in the middle but would prefer a better hem.

I had pants like this from Parachute back in the 80′s. I sure loved them then, but I am not sure I really want to see them again. Kudos to those who attempt them though, my advice? Watch the volume on top.

Hmm, I actually think his stature is perfect for the shape of the pants. And yes, the shoes are really cool. I like the colours of his outfit as well down to the orange detail on his watch.

finding that a i get older – 46 – grayer gruffer and less “smooth” that loose pant forms coming from yohi yamamoto, rick owens, kris van assche along with a better fitted shirt are my way of having some fun without wearing clothes that are too young for me.
of course all these guys are masters with cuts like this and have brought hip hop over to savile row.
i think he looks great but i would try a different top. totally time to go pick up some undercover buttons over at ln-cc and bedazzle some shoes

This is too much. I’m fan of simple, classic, minimalism, and color. He has elements of some of the above, but missed the most important thing of all:”Fit”. The clothes don’t fit. The shirt hangs carelessly, the pants are horrendous.
The shoes are nice though. Lots of color.

Wouldn’t mind if these become the pants of the future. They sure as hell beat the hell out of skinny jeans, comfort wise. The white gives them a casual, but refined feel — though I’d be interested to see the look in other colors. Teal maybe?

I have to say I hate the shoes, but I like the rest of his outfit. Its simple and comfortable, and absolutely no one would think its a girly outfit at all. Its really funny that men are so frightened of a pair of pants. I have to say that makes me like this guy all the more. All girls like a guy thats is bold! Whats the problem?

“Absolutely no one” is a bit strong. Especially as many have commented that they do indeed find it girly. So is “all girls like a guy…”. The definition of bold might need widening to include wearing funny pants. And various people have uttered already what they think the problem is. Why be so confrontational?
If you wish to look like you have unusually short little legs, you should wear these.
The pants resemble ju jitsu or other martial arts outfits.

Ok. I mean no one who isn’t anally retentive. And my comment wasn’t directed at you or anyone in particular so its in no way confrontational unless you think that the opinion that this outfit would not be girly or odd to the vast majority of people is somehow “wrong”. I think you are being confrontational and oddly defensive of your position.
They do not make this guy look like he has short legs at all. The pants do not look funny in any way. They just look comfortable and different. The martial arts outfit you are thinking of is called a Gi. They don’t really look a thing like that as they do not taper down and fit very differently, but even if they did, why would that be anything but good?
Wear whatever the heck you want. But maybe realize that you are in fact saying negative things about the guy in the picture, who is simply gracious enough to allow his photo to be taken. So its wise to temper your negativity.

What is wrong with a comfortable pair of pants that have a tapered leg- how is that feminine? It disgusts me to see men with all their bits and pieces showing due to their extremely tight pants. Is that flattering? You can tell exactly what a persons body looks like by seeing their ankle, wrists and back of their neck. We don’t need to show more than that.. where is the mystery!!?!?!!
You guys need to get off your “high fashion ideologies” and take a trip to Tokyo.
