Actually, it’s funny that you just posted this, because yesterday I saw a man in his 50s with a red mohawk, baseball jacket, red tartan kilt and Scottish socks.
Feels really old school in some weird way, don’t know why, maybe the hat did it, anyway, cool outfit, it’s fun that atleast (some) people aren’t afraid to do something different ..
can anyone tell me where and when this (or any other) flea market is? i’m planning a trip to nyc in the summer and i can’t wait to check out the markets. hopefully i’ll see this guy! thanks!!!
I think this pic might have been taken at the flea market on 17th, between 6th and 7th. I work in a thrift store on 17th and he is one of our regular weekend customers – always in tartan, I might add.

How fun! The shorts… The matching bag… The straw hat… This looks like it could’ve been taken in Bermuda!

Fun, indeed! Love the mini suitcase – great prop. Love the bare legs and choice of shoes with this.

The flea market is at 39th street between 9th and 10th avenues. It’s near the entrance to the Lincoln tunnel.
Totally loving this; the suitcase makes it extra awesome.
