All the patterns work so well because they are in the same tone and have similar size scale. Interesting and creative without being over the top. well done!
I've noticed a lot of abstraction in the most recent posts. Detail shots like this beautiful photo, as well as head-and-shoulders portraits, and even the few black and white photos; all are deviations from the signature Sartorialist photo. Even the recent vintage photo contest is a deviation from the usual format.
Personally, I appreciate experimentation, and I feel your strongest voice has always been visual- Your photos don't need supplementary text or 'prose' about your opinion on the look, because you illustrate it in the photos themselves. Let your photography speak for itself.
Earth tones, a splash of colour with the neckline, and trousers I adore. I might also add that her bag is enviable too. Love the pattern contrast of jacet and trousers. xoxo
Love the androgyny here, I'd be just as happy wearing it as meeting a nice young lady wearing it, though in the latter I would probably ask to borrow her scarf.
Hi, I check your site and I love it. I create a fashion blog. Please take a look and give me some tips to improve my blog. My blog: http://makefashionworld.blogspot.com
at a quick glance there seem to be too much going on, but somehow it works – and beautifully at that. The bag is fantastic! I love seeing a structured bag after all the soft sack-like huge things that have been so popular for so long.
LOVE THE MIXING OF PATTERNZ AND TEXTUREZ! WISH WE COULD SEE THE WHOLE OUTFIT. BUT THAT WOULD PROBABLY TAKE AWAY FROM SEEING THE PATTERN/COLOR CLASH UP CLOSE. THE BAG IZ THE BEST.
I am not sure if I would appreciate the brown combination as much as I do when I see this picture if the shot was taken inside.
What strikes me is the blue sky that makes this wonderful contrast. The peace of the backgroud in contrast with the "grittiness" of the patterns and the wildness of the purse's leather.
Hmmm…although the three brown tone is strikingly beautiful, I kept looking at just the bag.. great composition. if you are advertising the bag, it is working well..hehehe. Txs for sharing
return of the eighties in a beautiful way. everything reminds me of my banker mom and how twenty years later, I've come to appreciate it. however, just looking at wool pants make me itch terribly…

the bag is beautiful, of course, but it just resembles the real anatomy of the snake it was made from and it makes me a little squeamish – and this is coming from someone who has three python bags (of course, though, not celine).
