I hate turtlenecks because they make me feel like I”m wearing a hot water bottle but this, this is pretty good. He really nails his fit doesn’t he? Even though his boots probably never leave paving the whole messed-with classics thing is just so nicely judged. I can’t run away with him though because of the cigarette ; )
Like the “turtle neck over the collard shirt” look but this would have been a better look with a darker wash of jean, maybe black (blue and black, I know, but I think it would look awesome here :-p) or at least a better fit of denim. Too baggy and I don’t like the messy boot look. I think that’s what throws this off for me.
Why do most of Italians turn extremely elegant as they grow old? I don’t like men much older than me but when I see that kind of mature Italians I feel gerontophilic!
Note that he wears completely plain clothes and shoes. And hairstyle might look ridiculous in most people. It’s just that every cloth layer and hair has been carefully messed up. I bet that it was an hours long job in front of the mirror, or it’s just a superpower Italians get when they turn 50.
The man is handsome, but he definitely layers the wrong way round: A turtleneck belongs underneath the button-up shirt, the latter tucked into jeans and buttoned to the second button from the top – then he would look gorgeous. I would not even mind if he buttoned the shirt all the way up.
He would look cool in anything and I love how the jeans and boots look but the shirt and turtleneck makes me uncomfortable just looking at it. I can only imagine trying to adjust every part of the shirt into its rightful position each time I stand up
