WOW! What a great shot, and her styling is perfection! From the fringed bag to the clear lucite bangles, to the pale pink plaid and apple green hat…original, sweetly (but not saccharine) feminine, and totally perfect for summer! How pretty!
Oh, and the pebbled backdrop add the perfect dose of texture!
Not only is this image ‘tight’, in the most perfect composition, but the flow of the rose gold from the handbag strap to the frame on her glasses and pale tones in her shirt, a visual delight. Her handbag is amazing…ty Scott.
Pink and green always look nice and clean together; they’re a classic combination and this is very pretty, it has just enough of everything, not too much, not too little. It’s a Goldilocks and the Three Bears “just right” look.
I’ve always said great style is not about mixing and matching, but mixing and complementing. Case in point, the outfit in this photo. I love that it’s not too vibrant, but still pops out from its surroundings.
Oooo I like this. As of late, bags and shoes have been dominating an entire look whereas I prefer that they blend yet still have something interesting to say without shouting. This bag with this look is perfect. The bag is saying, “touch me, touch me.”
There’s a great scene if the fictionalized biopic of Vermeer (Girl With a Pearl Earring) where he asks his servant girl to tell him what colors she sees in the clouds above. At first she says white and gray but then upon scrutiny, she notices blues and greens. This photo is just that: some people just see colors better than others, and in this case it’s Scott and the young woman. A wondrous and inspired green hat.
Anything that promotes the wearing of hats is a good thing, and this picture is a great thing. I wish for a world where everyone wears hats in every season. Then we’d all have less skin cancer and everyone would have more character. And I’d have somewhere to hang my hat in restaurants.
