wouldn't it be fun to see a recreation of this picture with these guys 20 years from now. graceful aging. and so classic here, but that fine line crossing toward slick & cheesy is blurred and making me cringe, just a little.
I love Lino and his DB coats, he just looks so great with them on. I think no one pulls off a DB like him, with such ellegance and a touch of charming arrogance…
If you've got it, flaunt it! I wish I had such an amazing head of hair!
The white DB is incredible, especially accentuated by the baby blue shirt w/ spread collar. Impeccable!
I'm really digging the sheen of the blazer on the far right; the royal blue pocket square adds a nice touch! The pink striped shirt adds some welcomed "pop" to the outfit. Although, personally, I'd opt for a smaller collar.
I love this portrait, the men are so happy and alive. Also love that they get dressed up for no apparent reason in Italy, except to go out and have a drink or two. Wish it were that way here, where men arrive in blue jeans and a sweater and call it a day.
The white suit double breasted jacket is delicious! Interesting use of a denim shirt with a blazer in the middle, personal preference of buttoning all the way up, making it more mods (rockers) if I were to wear.
All three gentlemen are so naturally well dressed, acquired from time. So whether they have long hair, short hair, beard or whatever the shape of glasses they wear, they look absolutely good. There is just no space to criticize "this & that".
for those who are wondering who these three gentlemen are… the gentlemen in the white blazer is Lino Ieluzzi (owner of Al bazar in milano)and the other two gentlemen are Valentino (middle) and Nicola Ricci, they are owners and tailors for Sciamat. They all look fantastic!
uh…I cannot seem to pick my jaw up from off the ground…absolutely charming! That white jacket…the blue hankerchief in the pocket….sigh, dreamy sigh…that I were in Florence…
Last week My fellow Sarter & fashion starved hawaiian friend (we live on a little island, slim fashion pickins), and i were racing to the beach to catch the sunset, and discussing her upcoming trip to Milano (her first, our spiritual fashion home), and what 'must have' shoe both fashionable & comfortable would do upon arrival..until she could shop there. (Here we live in "slippas" (havaiianas), espadrilles, or bare feet). I suggested the Italian mocs I just gifted her. She resisted. Then we discussed which really important "cultural" :-)sightseeing spots to visit. Of course that would be Al Bazzar to shop and greet Lino and the boys, fashion week, etc.
Upon hitting the beach, we offered to take the photo of 2 handsome visiting brothers against the sunset …and nearly fainted when they announced they were from Milano! (we've spent our lives in hawaii, never once met an italian here..much less 2 charming Milanese). Dinner and drinks ensued. we shamelessly gushed over them as if they were rock stars. Of course, they were huge Sart fans. we were off. then it was all about BFF Lino and the Al Bazaar boys, the Annas, usual suspects. They never even had a chance to ask us a question about our island. Next out came the photos of them in Milan in their favorite driving mocs..in every color..even green and purple! next morning my driving moc resistant friend called and said she was wearing the italian mocs i gave her earlier that fated day.
Now, as if on cue, now here are the Fab3 in all their glory!
If this fashion stuff doesn't work out for you Sart, you might want to consider a career negotiating world peace.
