I love those shorts. And that yellow belt is just stunning. What an ensemble!
June 18, 2009 at 8:34 am
love his shoes, love his shorts and love his belt!
June 18, 2009 at 8:35 am
This man has an amazing sense of proportion!! I wouldn't think this length of shorts would work with his thick calves, but it does beautifully.
June 18, 2009 at 8:47 am
Now those are a pair of manly legs that cry out for shorts. My eyes are drawn down to the socks, too
June 18, 2009 at 8:56 am
great head to toe.
June 18, 2009 at 8:57 am
June 18, 2009 at 9:02 am
i like this mix of colors and patterns. he is hanging tough.
June 18, 2009 at 9:08 am
Those mailman shorts are very dope. I'd just hike it up right about the knee though
June 18, 2009 at 9:12 am
It is all in the shoes.
June 18, 2009 at 9:13 am
HE LOOKS AWESOME! I LOVE THIS! PERFECT LENGTH SHORTS
June 18, 2009 at 9:16 am
those are definitely the sweetest shorts ive seen in awhile – and i love his yellow belt
June 18, 2009 at 9:17 am
He looks great…very nice outfit
June 18, 2009 at 9:25 am
Those calves are insane!!
June 18, 2009 at 9:57 am
Oh, man- I want those so bad. Am I going to have to make them? Love this guy.
June 18, 2009 at 10:24 am
Amazing outfit and amazing picture!
June 18, 2009 at 10:35 am
loving the look love the Dries snickers.
June 18, 2009 at 11:21 am
I love it when you attend Pitti. I find the attendees have the BEST personal style, better than Men's Milan Fashion Week. MORE PICS!!!!!!
June 18, 2009 at 11:35 am
Those calves have had some serious workout.
January 3, 2014 at 6:46 am
That’s more genetics than workout. Some people are blessed with legs like that and they don’t really have to do anything to keep them shapely.
June 18, 2009 at 12:04 pm
Wow I hope to have as much style as him when i'm older. Plus those calves are killer!
June 18, 2009 at 12:23 pm
wow, he shows that style doesn't have to fade with age.i hope i'm not afraid to be as fashionable as him when i get older haha.
June 18, 2009 at 12:26 pm
GAHHH!!!!I LOVE him, his glasses and his HAIR. ♥
June 18, 2009 at 12:43 pm
What kind of shoes is he wearing? The shorts work with the socks, miraculously.
June 18, 2009 at 1:06 pm
Do those shoes have laces? It's hard to tell. I want more info, I love the gummy sole.
June 18, 2009 at 1:17 pm
June 18, 2009 at 1:19 pm
I have calves like that, but skinny ankles. I've never thought about wearing long socks to draw the attention north to the calf region, but I'm taking notes from this very stylish and fit gentleman.
The only thing I'm unsure about is the pink glasses, too much?
June 18, 2009 at 1:32 pm
Ha!! Love his shorts.
June 18, 2009 at 1:49 pm
Very cool indeed.
June 18, 2009 at 1:55 pm
wow…brave but all comes together
love the yellow belt
June 18, 2009 at 2:11 pm
i can never tell if people like this dress so fantastically intentionally. they look so very relaxed, almost as if they just happened to put on something fabulous. it gives it such real feeling.
June 18, 2009 at 2:57 pm
Really sick style! Love the mix of patterns – ESPECIALLY, the socks!
June 18, 2009 at 3:15 pm
I cannot think of words to describe how much I love this man. The hair, the glasses, the jackets, the shorts, belt, lovely legs and sock! I mean it is wonderful.
June 18, 2009 at 3:16 pm
I want to be this cool when I get old.
June 18, 2009 at 3:31 pm
Where does he get those wonderful pants! And…well, everything else.
June 18, 2009 at 3:43 pm
That is the best-dressed older gentleman I've seen in a long while.
June 18, 2009 at 4:04 pm
One could not hope for a better-cut pair of short trousers than those. This man has pulled a well-studied shorts/jacket combination perfectly, thus avoiding that Haircut 100 look.
June 18, 2009 at 4:42 pm
this oldy reminds me of my science teacher as a child!
i love it.
June 18, 2009 at 5:03 pm
funky and great! like some of you said, love the glasses, hair, bearf..sock details, shoes! all of it!! i hope i am this cool too when im his age!
i'm not normally a fan of shorts and socks but he totally pulls it off.
June 18, 2009 at 5:15 pm
Now that is a hip older man.And damn that is some muscles.
June 18, 2009 at 5:25 pm
Gosh i love a man with nice calves.
June 18, 2009 at 5:33 pm
I like his shoes!
June 18, 2009 at 6:13 pm
the shoes are givenchy and he is very sexy…look at his legs…
June 18, 2009 at 7:20 pm
What calve workout does this gentleman do, geez, those things are cut out of marble.
June 18, 2009 at 7:32 pm
that is a charming man!
June 18, 2009 at 7:52 pm
Please more Pitti goers—by far the most interesting and inspiring style! Thankfully you are there!
June 18, 2009 at 9:01 pm
This outfit wouldn't be complete without the vein on his right calf.
I would not want to get kicked by him.
These shoes really say it all!
June 18, 2009 at 11:21 pm
So, uh, yeah…I'm biting his style. Heading to the uniform store tomorrow and then going to get back on the road bike.
June 18, 2009 at 11:37 pm
The play on proportion is beautiful. I also love how the jacket works with the socks.
Perfection I think!
June 18, 2009 at 11:46 pm
I'm in awe. Completely bad-ass.
June 19, 2009 at 2:16 am
Wow, his socks kinda match his blazer! Awesome pic!
June 19, 2009 at 3:47 am
This is great!that pop of colour with the yellow belt is perfection!
A Super Dilettante
June 19, 2009 at 7:08 am
I love these shorts. They don't flare up at the bottom. A lot of shorts I bought recently do flare up at the bottom.
June 19, 2009 at 7:27 am
holy cats look at those legs!
June 19, 2009 at 9:44 am
This guy must do 850+ on the leg press. Greek statues have nothing on him.
June 19, 2009 at 10:34 am
JUST GREAT – I start thinking that Asian (Japanese?) men really have some special feeling for style.
June 19, 2009 at 1:00 pm
He kind of looks like David Suzuki. Somewhat.
June 19, 2009 at 1:35 pm
this reminds me of the nyt article i read about yesterday. not sure if you saw or not
June 20, 2009 at 11:17 am
WAY COOL.its not even about the shorts or shoes or jacket anymore.
June 20, 2009 at 11:33 am
Wow… He should have cycled a lot to deliver the mail, he's got awesome calves and hes quite proud to show them off. Such a pity he's a fashion victim, looks like a real man.
June 20, 2009 at 1:16 pm
jeeez he has some buff calfs
June 21, 2009 at 12:05 am

June 24, 2009 at 6:36 pm
I'm pretty sure his name is Hiroyuki Sasaki, President of the Tomorrowland label from Japan. Great article about a collaboration they did last year with Jean Paul Knott on the Monocle site, http://www.monocle.com/sections/design/Web-Articles/Tomorrowland/
June 26, 2009 at 6:29 pm

June 29, 2009 at 4:44 pm

June 30, 2009 at 3:05 pm
this guys is the epitome of great calves. he's accenting them with the vibrant socks, and he's totally winning me over with the elton john-esque glasses!<3
June 30, 2009 at 9:54 pm
