The chicest hair? That’s an understatement. I’d give her “Best in Class,” and I hope to see more of her, including older pix.

It’s a lovely collection of photographs, thank-you, Scott Sartorialist. Basically, she has a perfect level of style!

Using the term “Chic” is an appropriately understand way to describe her hair style – in fact the “whole” woman. Clearly she is secure in knowing and expressing “her style.” There is a confident air to her… Proves women can be stylish, strong, and yes even sexy well past their 20s and 30s.

      January 10, 2015 at 1:24 pm

I think she isn’t “expressing her style”: she es naturally stylish, and we can see and enjoy her effortless style. Well, style IS effortless.
      (Sorry for my english…).

LOVE her!! Such fantastic style from head to toe.

I love that she has her own look (great swept back hair, long beautiful earrings, a great little 60′s coat and straight and slim trousers. She’s found her perfect formula!)

The orange coat and tortoise glasses remind me of Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast At Tiffany’s!

I always love seeing her, she has a sense of style that is so clear and wonderful. She also has bold elements in her accessories, color and texture choices. It is also interesting to see this in light of Vanessa Friedman’s recent NYTimes piece on “Fashion’s Two-Faced Relationship on Age.”

I hope we can begin to have real discussions on fashion’s role and power in determining beauty standards – in terms of race, size, age and other factors.

  24. Lauren

    January 9, 2015 at 12:07 pm

She is beautiful and inspiring, and she looks like she’s in the tropics compared to where I’m sitting, Chicago. It’s been below zero for the past two days. Luckily I work at home so I haven’t had to leave my house. Tell me how to be fashionable with true cold that bites my face, my fingers. You know, the kind of cold that makes just breathing impossible.

Among my stylist peers, women 50+ may fall into a dilemma of becoming an ‘invisible woman’ – upon the loss of child-bearing abilities and (potentially) sexual appeal.

So, we must applaud (and loudly!) when women find ways to express themselves with creativity and distinct style. I love her style personality, and wish I could tell her so!

Amazing. Not enough women dress with real character anymore, and it’s sad that with few exceptions, this seems to be mainly the domain of women over 50. This woman looks smart and interesting.
