Love the hat, coat and shoes. Would need to see more of the dress to decide – looks a little tablecloth-ish. But, Hey! Rock your style girl. (am I first to comment!?)
(shoot, not the first) Also want to add the hat reminds me of Amy Irving channeling Annie Hall in the movie Crossing Delancey. Good snarky line from David Hyde-Pierce.
As an Australian myself, when the picture had only loaded down to her neck, I thought to myself, "Yep! Outback Shiela!" As i scrolled down all i thought was: …Wow.
Love the skirt/dress. Really pops and makes the outfit so unique.
In theory this ensemble should strike fear into the hearts of fashionistas everywhere. Loud patterns? chunky open-toed shoes? Thermofleece-esque overcoat and oversized felt hat? What has the world come to!? But somehow this (extremely pretty) girl manages to make the whole thing look elegantly flung together and really quite chic. How and why it works we will never know, but somehow it does. X
The chic and off-beat styling is reminiscent of the 1960s arts and crafts movement. The gorgeous red bag and substantial open-toed shoes provide a 2010 twist. She has quite a pretty pose, too!
I am so much feeling this look, it resonates in me. The colours, the patterns, the fabrics, the proportions. Ooh, pure love! This portrait inspires me to be more so I would feel alive and well and beautiful.
I wonder how much thought went into this look was it thrown together or more studied, could go either way. she's cute and fresh and confident and I like that in a woman.
I love the red purse, as for the rest, welll, not so much. I don't care for the summer dress with black tights and then open toed shoes with a winter jacket.
Now this is what I call style because it not contrived, not plagued with too many designer pieces right on trend, certain level of oringiality but most importantly she wears her clothes well instead of just being a hanger that is showcasing clothes.
Love the combination, but must be said that only a beautiful girl like this could pull it off. Could be Little-girl-let-loose-in -granny's-wardrobe-esque
Such a beautiful girl. I love her look, except would have preferred an equally colorful fall or winter print skirt to this one, which looks a little too summery/cotton-y with everything else. But she looks so pretty and cozy, it really doesn't matter. After all, it is spring in Australia, right?
SPEECHLESS. I really like her style especially the combination between her long skirt and that type of coat but what I really like is the color of her PS1.
There are definitely some looks one should never try to copy, but admire from afar. This is one of them. She makes it look good. I'd look like a bag lady, sigh…
This looks like a Thai hill tribe skirt, I have a couple and they are really heavy pleated cotton canvas with wool embroidery, summer colours yes, but they weigh a ton!
Id say the most aussie thing about this ensemble is the red satchel which, if I'm not mistaken, is made by the iconic Australian label Country Road. I have the same, except mine hasn't worn nearly as nicely as the one in this photo. Kudos lady, giving us fellow aussies a good international sartorial rep! x
actually i think it is a slovenian skirt, in my village in serbia there ia all these slovenian women who wear these. I like how she took the traditional outfit and integrated it into everyday wear.

awful. pretty girl but no style here at all, move along. it's just unfocused, mixed seasons, color tones, awful.

100% sure the bag is by Country Road. I have the mushroom coloured version sitting on the floor next to me at the moment.

Don't like the way the textures of the dress and jacket combine. Makes both look cheap.
