Once again, another unfortunate glamification of cigarettes. Yes, the rest of him shows style, but Europe is so behind in thinking smoking is still chic..
He looks like a nice elegant man but what is it with all these cigarettes – it’s just NOT cool and it’s NOT classy! Lucky we don’t have to smell the smoke as it would detract from his obvious style!
I love how the belt mimics the shirt and jacket combo. His lapel pin and eyewear surprisingly anchor the entire look. The crisp white pocket square and checkerboard tie are simply because he can…Look at him.
I could just rave about this pic forever. When I quickly glanced at the headline, I thought I read, “Texas” (instead of “texture”) and I thought, “WHAT? No man in Texas could dress THIS sophisticatedly!” (No offense intended to Texans.)
The fit. The Stanley Tucci-esque glasses, the TIE, somehow complementing, and not competing with, the belt; the pocket square …. AAAHHH. If only Canadian men could dress half this good.
I love this mans clean and polished look! The circle glasses make him so much more elegant. His belt is a definite plus!

Absolutely fabulous combination of suit, belt and tie! I’m one for mixing a suit with casuals-a belt, tennis shoes, espadrilles or off-the-wall tie. This man is inspiring!
really need to know what his shoes look like to determine if that belt is a bold or no….but the combination looks great w/out the tie.
i’m not a smoker, and it is a foul habit, but the predictable anti-smoking self-righteous snarkiness whenever one of your subjects has a cig in hand is tiresome and pointless. The photo subject is likely not reading this and probably doesn’t give an owl’s nest what we think.
the snarks should just take a deep smoke free breath and let it go.
He looks stunning, but… how come the folks in your Italy pictures always have winter clothes in the sweltering summer weather? How do they pull it off?
The belt really does not complement the rest of the clothes. The tones aren’t right with the blue and red and the scale is off in relation to the checks in the tie.
“The scale is off in relation to the checks” ??? HAha!!! Thats a funny one. Don’t try to justify your opinion. Thats all you have when it comes to fashion. Its not like we strive to follow the golden rule of proportions like some long dead and correctly forgotten Greek thinkers. He looks good. I generally hate blue/navy suits, but this has spark. Very dapper.
Please don’t crucify me for voicing my opinion here: The braided belt is a bold choice, but it does not go with the rest of his garb. And the pants…(a) they are hiked up to his navel, and (b) they look too baggy. I like the tie, though.
I like the harmony of colors in his look.
Blue, red, brown, and even the gold frames of his glasses.
It’s more than saying “pretty nice” or “awesome”.
It’s really much more than saying those things…
Sorry for the triple posting, but I keep looking back at the photo. Amazing to me how he gets away with these clothes without looking too self-consciously “put together.” Somehow! I suppose a lot is in his attitude, simply how he holds himself.
Yes, this is an unusual image for me. Not that I don’t appreciate many of the men on these pages, but this fellow in particular transcends in a way that I think may be rarer for men than women when it comes to fashion/style.

They’re long dead but I would argue it would be incorrect to forget them. There were some fine thinkers back then, with names like Pythagoras and Euclid.
As for proportion in style and fashion, I would also argue that it is important, in fact, very important. The “golden ratio” is also present in nature and not forgettable.
