to be honest, the first picture does not convince me; we have seen it all before. the second one is beyond stunning : new silhouettes, new proportions, look the way she works the jacket (which i bet is a mensjacket), look at that collar: she tells a story. a huge fan of Garance, then.
Garance just radiates beauty and she seems like a such a warm person. That being the case, she could’ve worn anything and looked amazing. On another note though, the coat from the first pic with Giovanna? POW.
Do cute and potentially damaging boots mean I can kick your ass while being attractive? I just read how the CPAC (Conservative Political Action Committee) meeting caused many conservative bloggers to complain about the “whorish dress” of young Republican women. They also said those women who weren’t “whorish” were “frumpish”. I can’t help but think this trend towards studs and metal is some sub-conscious stand for women trying to negotiate the ever ambivalent American attitude towards female beauty and sexuality. But then again, what and why do we grab what we do from our closets in the morning? Despite my outrage, for good and bad, I too just want to be cute. At least vanity is universal.
I really like Garance’s boots. I’m intrigued by the fact that it seemed fashion was moving away from studs and into more ladylike refinement. But to see these two wearing studded boots makes me feel that the fashion cycles are so fast now that everything is “in” all the time.
Don’t get me wrong but with such beautiful people posing your pictures are by definition great.
Studs have the power to make a feminine look a bit more edgy and dynamic however not less attractive. I personally like them and although people tend to link them with rock stars I link them with warriors, fighters or in general with driven people.
There you go, you got two warrior princesses there!
Both pairs = stunning. Both ladies = gorgeous. Both pictures = inspiring. I am off now to hunt out my studded clutch/messenger bag, will wear tomorrow. Doubt I will look anywhere near as stylish as these ladies, but one can but try ;-)
