Wow – this is amazing. Street Style through the decades would make for a pretty interesting coffee table book!

Beautiful streetart! You must have been standing in front of this wall a long time to see all pictures, one by one (that’s what I would have done)!

That soo cool, i love looking at old photographs and people styles… Everyone used to dress so much more formal… suits and ties for men, dresses for women, and the same for children. Awesome, will take a look at that next time im in paris…

C’est parce qu’il y a moins de gens qui travaillent dans la rue…Ces années étaient définies par la nostalgie qui fait beucoup d’émotion car il nous manque l’esprit.

Yes it’s a great initiative that changes every month or so (done by the guy owning this vintage photography store at Marché des Enfants Rouges which you featured in a previous post)

Heh… This photographer did street fashion way before it was cool.
True hipster.
It’s always so incredible to see how they were thinking and seeing back in the day. Always manages to trigger something much more deep than just fashion. Incredible and thought provoking.

Perhaps it is where I live ( NOT Paris, New York or Milan….); or perhaps it is the times in which we live: but lamentably people do not dress “up” on a routine basis anymore. The streets are full of droopy pants, tee shirts and baseball hats. My father left the house each day in a freshly pressed shirt and a nice suit; cufflinks and tie pins were not accessories, but necessities.
I try to emulate him.
Nice to see photos of a more refined time, at least clothing wise.

All those clathes have onu thing in common, something unseen on the streets today: they fit perfectly and have a shape that’s following the wearers’ body.
