You were talking about inspiration one day – and how the object of the picture was not necessarily something you liked but that you somehow found inspiring.

Sometimes, I think that the inspiration comes from something incidental in a picture, in our lives etc.

Here it is the colours of the buildings on the far left hand side of the picture that I really enjoy. The blue, orange, the green. They caught my eye immediately, especially as the yellow sign on the right balanced them. I am far less keen on the model herself & the intrusive ugly car…

Thanks for sharing, in any case!

I just adore poeple (especially women, no clue – why?;) with grace & nonchalance mixed together (= she looks faboulus with this special "touch" of that "special" something = no 2 hours of preparation / thinking / matching / mixing / changing, etc, etc)… Whatever is true, I just think that if the effort is not visible = the look is the best. I love her, her spirit, her aloof oversized sunglasses and I love love Soho, my hometown hood. I went to NYU and go back here for meetups and dance schooling.

However, I am surprised b/c Soho is not Paris, it's not Florence, where easy pedaling is the norm. You'll get run over by a car or food truck or mass of pedestrians, so seeing her cycling along w/traffic is what shocks me first!

Hey folks, it's not that hard to ride a bike in heels. I find it easier to cycle in heels than to walk in them, but that might just be my high arches.

    Awesome bike, cool-as-hell girl.

For those interested in the bike:

It's a Dutch 'Gazelle' ladie's bike, ca. 1980, with Dutch Axa safety lock and British 3-speed Sturmey-Archer hub.
Tyres are Dutch Vredestein Sport DeLuxe.

Shopping basket was optional: if it would have been original, there would be a headlight/dynamo on the loop visible on the front fork.
