beautiful mustard, though the skirt looks like the accessory he should’ve removed before leaving the house a la Coco Chanel.

Interesting outfit, the skirt and 80′ yelow jacket it’s a fantastic combination. But the skirt it’s the burden of compozition. Bravo mr. Scott!

Skirt for Men is always a pleasure to see it even when we think about it out from the catwalk we believe that it will be so ugly to wear… NICE !!

Mustard / Toblerone / Saffron, the it color we will have to master for the winter.

Very interesting outfit, elegant with ethnic chic vibes. The proportions are a real statement!

Oh I absolutely love the colors, the layering and the fabulous hair cut! I never thought anything longer than mid-thigh with jeans could work before I saw this. Now, in rare cases, I think it can be pulled off.

I think he was inspired by the proportion of how men in Indonesia (also most of Southeast Asia) wear the sarung. Like in this photo http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/c/cd/Sarungan.jpg/225px-Sarungan.jpg Cultural reference aside, this is a unique and fantastic look for fall.

@ M. da Chump–your comment made me laugh out loud (as in really laughing out loud and startling the cat, not “LOL”ing, which, it seems, has little to do with actually expressing amusement). Thanks for the chuckle.

Impress with his brave on playing with layers. Love the mustard color. However, the whole look doesn’t enhance his beauty. It is more like clothes wears man instead of man wears clothes.

I hope I’m remembering this correctly, but anyone over the age of 45 might remember David Bowie performing Boys Keep Swinging with Klaus Nomi on SNL in 1979. Bowie wore a big-shouldered tweedy suit with pencil skirt. Seeing it on him then, I was certain that within two years we’d see men going to meetings on Madison Avenue in pencil skirts. Not so. Still, it works on this guy.

Why are so many people ( especially ones who watch this site ), freaked out by a man wearing a skirt ? He looks great, what is the problem ?

    Jealousy , maybe…..or insecurity ….?

A bit too much.. .. no opposition to any one element but to all the elements together.

Too self-conscious.. it ruins it when you realize someone thought this much abt how to put himself together.

    Interesting -yes, Good -no

    September 24, 2011 at 6:31 pm

Tanuki: I doubt it jealousy or insecurity that people are freaked about a man wearing a skirt. But a skirt over jeans? Nooooo.

Love the outfit without the skirt. Or without the jeans. Something about it says “trying to hard”. But I love what he’s trying to do, here, and it’s very fashion-forward.
