What an interesting young man, and what a wonderful photograph. The contrast of the color of his shirt with his jacket, and the lovely way the collar and shirt sleeves protrude. The unevenly rolled up pants are cute, and the multicolored laced shoes add much to his wardrobe. The background in this photo of the buildings and the yellow cab is very nice. Can't figure out the expression on his face…
No. The jacket has too relaxed a cut, with basically no shoulder construction, and he is pairing it up with a high collar shirt; they simply do not match. I do like the shoes. Overall, I think he would have had a nice outfit if he had gone more traditional, or if he had picked a different shirt to go with the suit. He is very young and that helps him look great. Jorge from WPB
I like the shoes and the colors of the suit, but whats up with everything else. I mean, where is the sense of fashion in this guy=? Thats too risky for me, no doubt about that. Theres a thin line between improvising and what a mess!!! btw something that jumps this line and def makes it happen is:: http://www.vcdreams.com/
He's young, stylish and handsome – he's got a great fashion future!!
Question: Is the fully buttoned, collared shirt a new trend? I haven't seen it in any of the Fall fashion rags but you have captured it here a couple of times recently.
a great combination of old and new. And this peach/salmon pink is great on him.
Hey, Mr Sartorialist, there are a lots of photos of you on diff. blogs. I love the one when you wear your navy blue trench (or rain) coat. You look like an old- school sartorialist…like Hubert de Givenchy in his white gown :-))
I love the suit and shoes! Not so sure about the shirt itself, and then especially with the jacket rolled up. But that's what gives the outfit its whimsy. It's pretty cool overall.
He needs to learn when to say when. Too many focal points so that it's just confusing. Either the shoes or the shirt with the blue suit would have been terrific, but both are too much and the Thom Browne proportion of the suit on top of it just screams trying too hard. (And isn't the whole stuffing ourselves into little boy suits thing played out yet?) The rolled up pants — rolled up too far and unevenly — are just plain silly.
He's wonderful. I love how he broke the austerity of his streamlined jacket and shirt with rolled cuffs. And then he punches it with patterned oxfords!
I love this photo. To me it's about playing with color pairings and wearing something formal in an informal, offhand way, rather than having a perfect look. Though for him, this may be the perfect look. He seems like a really intriguing person who knows how to pose! Lovely.
i LOVE how he is venturing out of the norm, and exploring a classic suit with nonclassical colors and fitting. The shoes complete the look with a very beautiful touch. He obviously knows how to dress to suit his skin coloring, body, and structure. props.

I live by the following rule from the golden era when men used to know how to dress:
A man should look as though he bought his clothes with intelligence, put them on with care, and then forgot all about them. — Hardy Amies
So are we looking at the same photo? Dignified? Sweet simplicity? How do you guys come up with this stuff? The look is contrived and convoluted.
