yes, what Pasquale said. A thousandfold. Something about the simplicity of what she is wearing is very attractive. Complexity and adornment don’t always add up (especially when one is just hanging out!).
Ha ‘kikker’ means frog in Dutch, a bit confusing to see a Dutch word so randomly :)
I love her outfit, it’s nothing “special”, but just nice and simple. Attainable and possibly affordable too, which I look for in inspirational street fashion photographs. The length of her skinny jeans is just perfect.
This is just a photo of a skinny person wearing neutral basics. There’s no style here. Love the actual style photos though, and how you capture people who do more with much less! That’s real style in my opinion.
Am I the only one who felt that this was not quite Sartorialist-worthy? Imho, the way she is dressed seems a little too normal, and the photograph, while lovely, isn’t really striking enough to compensate for that. Not to say that she isn’t beautiful – she is – or that I don’t love her outfit – I do, and it’s similar to how I usually dress – or that it isn’t a nice shot – the wind in her hair is nice, the pure red and blue is nice. It’s just that I’ve rather come to expect slightly more unusual, remarkable, and inspiring images and fashion from Scott.
It is exactly what I expect to see at The Sartorialist.–mostly regular people putting their own personal stamp on the way they present themselves to the outside world. And having someone like Scott come along and spot the beauty–like seeing a red flower poking up in the bright green Hostas. A moment of beauty preserved forever in a world where beauty is fleeting.
