I love the Sartorialist but I couldn’t disagree with you more. It’s not simple or perfect. It’s sloppy and a mess. All guys think they can dress like this, often times as they accompany women who’ve taken pains to be simple and beautiful and pulled together and elegant.

I think the trench coat puts a more dressed-up cover on what’s underneath. The blues also give a sense of neatness without the ominous quality of black uniforms.

I agree with you guys. I do love simplicity and LOVE the Sartorialist, but to me it is not a “striking” simplicity…I don’t find it so interesting.
