Can someone tell me the rules on this short over long look? I tried it a couple times, and, well, I felt like a 6 year old who put his own jacket on over the dress shirt daddy wore the previous day.
Ever since I saw this combination of the long shirt over pants and under a jacket in Umit Benan’s collection, I have thought it should catch on widely.
I’m looking for such a shirt but in a tighter cut than the traditional. Suggestions anyone?
In general I like the combination and I think that the military jacket is pretty cool. However, I’m not sure about the lenght of the shirt and, moreover, about the fabric: it’s too loose and somehow doesn’t match with the “rigidity” of the jacket.
love this picture, although I really want to know what shoes this man has on. I’m guessing at sandals?? What does anyone think? http://www.sendaraven.blogspot.com
i like the idea, but… all things in moderation. i’d prefer seeing something less than a foot of shirt tail here. especially because otherwise he looks great.
He looks hot. And it looks guy-ish. Not like too thought out. I love the look on both male and female, but a little better on him. At least thats a way I would like a guy I am with to look. If that makes sense. And no look is “hard to pull off” unless you tell yourself that it is. I think fashion works a lot better when you are inspired by what works, rather then worry about what doesn’t.
I love the polka dot dress and how you rmeexid it a bunch of times. Also the military jacket+ballerina skirt= <3. Congrats on your blogs 1 year anniversary, its been such a great experience reading through your blog, its so awesome! :)

Really nice looks in every sense. The proportions don’t have that disproportionate look nor feel – You have an eagle eye for style!

typically, with men’s wear and layering, i prefer well tailored pieces; a suit jacket and vest. perhaps this is close-minded of me. i love the flow.

Always a hard look to pull off. Bravo! I think it has to do with the cut of the sides that help make this work.
